“Peaceful sanctuary away from busy Amsterdam”

The accomodation was lovely and surprisingly warm, particularly as we were there during a snow and ice storm! Koen and Olvia were lovely hosts, very friendly and welcoming. Comfy bed, yum locally brewed beer (you can see the windmill out the window!) It was so peaceful with swans swimming up to the window, or getting close by considering the canal was frozen for part of our stay. The #22 bus brings you straight from Central Station to right outside the boat in just 15 mins. It is so close to all the key tourist spots but also slightly removed, a little sanctuary to come back to after a busy day.

“Really delightful and perfectly located houseboat”

Our host (Koen) was really friendly and very helpful. We liked being out of Amsterdam centre, but the 22 bus stop is only 10 metres away and perfect for going into the city centre (~8 mins). There is also a well-stocked Albert Heijn supermarket just around the corner. A few minutes walk away is the 7 tram line taking you to the museum quarter, and also is the location of a brewery by the windmill. Try the'Columbus' beer. The houseboat does not have a hotplate or a microwave, so just be aware of that. There is an Indonesian take-away very close by, however. We were delighted to sit and watch the boats go by, and the local heron and moorhens going back and forth. Being by the water was so relaxing. Thank you Koen.

The location was a short walk from tram stops that could take you right into the city centre. The property was beautiful and comfortable, exactly as in the photos. We were met with warm service at check in and great attention to detail in everything provided. We would definitely stay again

Fantastic hosts, great location, beautiful view.

Such a wonderful Amsterdam experience to stay in a river boat on the canal and watch the boats cruise by, and the many birds! It is a beautiful setting and very peaceful. Everything was perfect, and it was so cozy and warm and bright, even in the winter. Our host was so helpful and kind, and even had wine and beer for us, and breakfast goodies. A fridge was a bonus. The location was great! You could walk or bike to many tourist sites.

It was in an amazing spot, very clean and tidy, it’s all round just a beautiful boathouse. The host was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. I messaged them to say we were celebrating my wife 40th and when we turned up there was bubbly in the fridge, beers, flowers and a happy birthday banner ☺️ We will be returning..Do not hesitate in booking this beautiful boat. You won’t regret it.

Very enjoyable stay overlooking a relatively quiet stretch of canal. A lovely way to while away the evenings relaxing as the boats pass. Everything was very easy, from finding the boat, to checking in, etc. Thank you!

“Special experience on the canals of Amsterdam”

Koen and Olivia were the most fantastic hosts. We stayed for my mum's birthday and they went above and beyond to make it an even more special trip by providing decorations, bottle of bubbles and even some cake. The houseboat itself was beautifully decorated and clean with great facilities. It was an amazing experience to stay on the canals of Amsterdam. There were plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Would highly recommend a stay at Koen and Olivia's houseboat!

The owner very kindly provided many vegan products for breakfast. We loved watching all the boats that went by and the work in the shipyard opposite the boat Fresh flowers on our arrival were lovely and thank you for the wonderful beer in the fridge
