Amazing apartment, very big and spacious, super comfortable. Amazing location, in the city center, close to everything. We didn't use the kitchen, but there were all the necessary utensils to cook comfortably (and more). The apartment is on the first floor, only one wide (relatively for Amsterdam) staircase. There is a large and spacious balcony. The apartment is very heated for winter. Oh, and there's a urinal!

The location is excellent. Just a few hundred metres from the Centraal train station and easy walking distant to facilities like trams, supermarket, and eateries.

“Excellent location and apartment has everything you would need.”

The location of the apartment was excellent. It is in a traffic free lane just off the main roads to Dam Square and as a result was very quiet considering how close we were to everything. There is a lovely seated balcony area and the apartment has everything you would need for a short to medium term stay. The host Lucy was lovely and insisted on carrying our case up the steep flight of stairs from the front door as she said that is what keeps her fit. Whilst the steep flight of stairs didn't bother us I would suspect they may be a bit daunting for the elderly or infirm but that's the way Dutch houses are in general. We would certainly return when we return to Amsterdam as the location is superb.

Amsterdam is my favourite short break destination, never fails to deliver. The apartment was the perfect location, clean, quiet, just perfect. Will definitely book next year.

EVERYTHING

Lucy was the highlight of this place, just the kindest lady I've ever met. The home was so comfortable and we were able to celebrate the new year at Dam Square as it was basically downstairs. Although the apartment is inner city, it was a lot quieter than we expected and it didn't bother us at all. The place was spacious and clean and Lucy's smile every time we met her made the stay ever more memorable. Thank you Lucy for everything xx

“A comfy, quirky, centrally-located apartment that is perfect for a three-night stay in Amsterdam.”

The location in central Amsterdam is perfect. You can walk just about anywhere you want to go or take a short tram ride. We've stayed in Amsterdam many times and Here's Lucy had the best location for us. Although close to bustling areas, the street itself is very narrow and quiet, not even accessible by car (although just a five-minute walk from a busy street with taxis and trams). We loved returning home every evening to the apartment. The apartment itself is spacious, particularly compared to a hotel, and well-equipped. We appreciated the extra table in the bedroom where I could work on my laptop. Also appreciated was the galley kitchen and the adjacent balcony. Although the host was not able to meet us in person, she was in contact via text and we felt we could reach out if we had questions. I highly recommend Lucy's Place if you are looking for a centrally-located apartment that feels like a real home with its slightly quirky furnishings and old KLM posters. We loved it.

Location was easy to get to from the train station as long as you didn’t get lost. We did but that was just poor planning. Complimentary beverages were a nice touch. Enjoyed the outdoor terrace. Felt like you were living like a local.
