Every morning the area around the pools and the sidewalks were cleaned. The water in the pools were clean.

The setting was lovely. It was great for us that there was a vegan restaurant on site and we enjoyed the meals there. The all inclusive breakfast was also fine. There is a lovely swimming pool and we enjoyed the free yoga class and mini-golf.

The room was comfy and the cleaning lady was stopping by everyday. The food was great and diverse! Every evening we had a different cuisine presented to us: Greek, Asian, Mexican, Cretan, etc. We picked the "all inclusive" package and at Apollonia "all inclusive" means ALL INCLUSIVE. The staff was really nice and helpful, especially the guy at the bar called Manolis. We really appreciated the live evening concerts! Ideal for people who want to relax in a calm and relaxing environment. I highly recommend the spa services, I chose a facial treatment and a back massage which were really nice. Ask for an appointment with Vasiliki, you will love her!

Breakfast and all other meals were prepared and cooked to meet the highest demands of an experienced customer. Room was cleaned every day with care.

Beware of Payment Issues and Rude Staff I recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights with breakfast included, booked through Booking.com. I paid €429 in advance, and the payment was confirmed by the platform. However, upon check-in, I encountered a frustrating and unpleasant situation. The two receptionists, one older and one younger, both of whom were extremely rude, presented me with a note stating that I owed €405 for the stay, plus an additional €40 as a climate tax. I was confused because I had already paid in full via Booking.com, including all taxes. Despite showing them my booking confirmation, they insisted that they had not received any payment and demanded I pay an additional €445. They even presented a card terminal and expected me to settle this amount immediately. When I refused, the older receptionist called what she claimed to be the manager, and I was told the issue would be sorted the next day. I contacted Booking.com as suggested. When I returned the following day, neither of the receptionists seemed to know what was going on, and the younger one rudely said, “Excuse me, what?” when I inquired about the payment. It was a very unprofessional and stressful situation. Though the stay proceeded normally after that and no further payment was demanded, the initial experience was enough to put me off. Furthermore, when we asked to upgrade to all-inclusive for just one day, the hotel refused, saying it was only possible for the entire stay – which was incredibly disappointing since we only wanted to enjoy a day at the beach with drinks due to the great weather. While the hotel itself was fine, I strongly caution anyone staying here to be prepared for confusing payment issues and rude staff. Watch out, especially for the two women at the front desk.

Nothing much I can add to previous reviews so just a quick note re buses. To get to town or onwards to the airport you need to get bus number 1. To return from the airport or town you need bus number 6. Both stop just outside the hotel. You can by tickets in the hotel shop of for about a euro extra you can buy them on the bus.

The hotel has a rich history and over time, they have cultivated a stunning garden with a variety of trees and palms, each with small information tables that enhance the experience. The food was amazing; we thoroughly enjoyed dining at both the main restaurant/buffet and the poolside cafeteria. The buffet offered a diverse selection of high-quality, tasty dishes, including Cretan specialties. The pool cafeteria served excellent fast food, including Greek options, which the kids loved. The hotel's beach was right next to the property, and we never had any trouble finding a spot there. We also enjoyed dining at the on-site Greek restaurant located by the sea, which offered fantastic food. Overall, it was a pleasure to use the bars and terraces and to watch events in the open-air amphitheatre.
