Overview
Situated in the Lapland village of Ammarnäs, this inn offers regional cuisine, a TV lounge and a fully equipped shared kitchen. WiFi is free in public areas. Each room here is simply decorated. Bathrooms are either private or shared. Ammarnäs’ restaurant and bar serves Sami inspired dishes based on locally sourced ingredients, including elk, deer, arctic char and grouse. Guests can order packed lunches for outdoor excursions. A bookable sauna is available, and bicycles can be rented on site. The staff can help guests organise guided hiking and fishing trips, horse riding and other activities. We no longer have a sauna

“A good place to spend the night while hiking the Kungsleden.”
It was a nice place to rest while hiking the Kungsleden trail. It was clean, the kitchen was large and well equipped. There was ample space to dry clothes and a soaking wet tent. The location is very good, a short walk from the old church and the potato hill :).

“Basic, comfortable room with the option to eat at the restaurant.”
The room was basic but comfortable. Sheets and towels can be ordered beforehand, if required. The was plenty of food for breakfast and we had dinner at the restaurant too. Ammarnas is very small and the place is a short walk from the bus stop, store and the ski trails.

This place had a lovely, cozy feeling and was pretty much heaven after I finished the Kungsleden. I didn’t eat in the restaurant but the lobby bar was a really pleasant place to hang out.

“Wärdhus with warm staff”
When we arrived to hostel, receptionist couldn’t found our booking. It was problem with booking.com system. We get scared because after 3 night in tent we wanted just a warm shower and comfy bed sheets. But our receptionist suggested other room which was much more specious then expected! Nice view from windows and amazing dinner, huge recommendations! Super tasty food in cozy surroundings. Our receptionist was working as a waitress that evening and next day she was working again. Very helpful and understandable, thank you Annika!
