Great fresh hotel with a wonderful ballooning theme great room and breakfast

Clean and comfortable. Air Con not working but was advised beforehand.

Really unusual hotel with just a few rooms, owned by someone who does balloon trips, which some people were doing when we stayed. The hotel is very modern and clean and the breakfast was good. Checkin was supposed to be from 5pm but there is provision to arrive earlier. It’s across the river from the old town but just a short walk.

Super clean, super comfy beds. Lovely breakfast. Lovely service. If you are doing a ballon ride. Perfect place to stay. We wish we had thought about doing one.

Loved everything about it. It was spotless clean, the bed and pillows were so comfortable, the breakfast very good and really well priced. The staff so nice and helpful. Location is not in the city but it is just a 10 to 15 min leasure walk.

“More than we bargained for!”

A great hotel - incredibly friendly. We wanted somewhere to stay overnight to break up the journey from the Dordogne to Caen - and this was superb. Amboise was a lovely town, and even though the centre was on the opposite river bank, the walk was only 10 minutes. Great range of bars and restaurants!

“Fascinating hot-air balloon connection to this excellent little hotel”

The hotel has a fascinating connection with a hot air ballooning company, which is run out of the adjoining warehouse. Everything is balloon-themed in the hotel - new, clean and comfortable, a very good buffet breakfast and all at a very reasonable price. It's also very secure, with coded-gate entry to carpark.
