Comfortable and convenient. The weather was hot but thanks to excellent air con in the bedroom we stayed comfortable. The house was central to all amenities in Amboise.

The house is at the good location and is near to everything in Amboise. The house is fully equipped such as kitchen ware.

Central location in a lovely town. Very well equipped, air conditioning essential this week! Anne was very helpful, I booked last minute as we couldn't stay in the hotel we'd planned. Luckily the little house was ready for guests. Perfect, thank you.

“Great location. Warm & cosy cottage attached to Manoir.”

Excellent location in the middle of Amboise. There are 2 cottages. One just inside the big main gate, and the other ( which we stayed in) is attached to the side of the Manoir. There’s no parking at the cottage and the big gate at the front of the Manoir doesn’t open so you can’t drive down to the cottage to unpack. You can park on the main road whilst you unload and then carry luggage down past the main house to the cottage. The cottage we stayed in had one double and one twin bedroom, both upstairs. Comfy bedding and extra blankets. The double room also has a baby cot. The bedroom windows have shutters on so its nice & dark & you’re not woken up by the dawn sunrise. Downstairs is the lounge with dining table, and then off that is the kitchen & a downstairs toilet. The lounge has ceiling lighting but no sign of a table lamp which would be nice for cosy evenings. Anne kindly left two blankets on the lounge sofa. We also enjoyed visits from Maurice, the Manoir cat who is very friendly. The bathroom upstairs has a bath which has a hand held shower hose attachment on the taps. The owner Anne, said they are planning to arrange a plumber to come and put a decent new shower system in so worth checking if this is important to you. The cottage has good big radiators in every room so was very warm and cosy. For sunny weather there is a little patio area with seating at the front of the cottage. Its worth mentioning that there is a back door to the cottage which gives you access to a back alleyway leading to the main road into town. There are three small private dwellings down this alleyway. There was a lot of noise coming from the property nearest the back door on a couple of evenings, however you can always come & go from the front of the property instead. The kitchen has ample crockery & utensils.

The house was very well appointed, clean and comfortable with all the facilities needed. Easy to walk to restaurants and shops in Amboise and an excellent base for the Loire Valley. Anne made many helpful suggestions. Maurice, the cat was super friendly and welcoming!

Lovely property located superbly for walking in to the centre of town. Anne was a wonderful host. The cottage we stayed in was lovely and clean with full kitchen facilities.

Anne is a great host. We felt being Home with them. She went out of the way to help with choice of restaurants , booking bikes and evening advising us for the restaurants in Paris. Erave and Anne also were kind to drop us at the station the next day. I would recommend it to everyone if you want a home to stay in Amboise , there cannot be any other place better than Le Vieux Manoir.
