Overview
Brathay Hall is the residential training center of Brathay Trust. It provides double, twin and single en-suite rooms on a room only basis, which are located around the site. Free parking onsite is available to guests throughout their stay. The property is situated a mile away from Ambleside, where visitors can enjoy a selection of shops, restaurants and traditional pubs. Guests can relax in the beautiful surroundings of the Brathay Hall Estate or enjoy walking the hills around Brathay Hall - Brathay Trust.

“Perfect for what we needed!”
The property was really beautiful and had amazing views over the lake. The room we had was exceptionally clean and the bed was really comfy. Also, the little surprise ‘pack’ for our dog was a really lovely touch. Close to Ambleside (15 minute walk but in peak times, a bus runs through the village too) and a great point to start climbing Loughrigg Fell! Overall, loved our stay.

“A peaceful stay, just outside ambleside”
Comfortable spacious room . Fantastic views. Parking. Selection of fruit teas and hot chocolate sachets on hospitality tray as well as normal teas a d coffee, and a fridge in the room.

“A beautiful location with excellent staff”
The staff, location, long walks, gardens and the views. Also, the lady at the reception, Britanny and the lady who came to clean our rooms outside the office hours. Apologies, I could not catch her name. The most favourable point for this property is there excellent staff, who really tries their best to ensure a very comfortable stay.

“I only stayed for one night but definitely wish it was more”
The staff were lovely when spoken to them about taxis, so complimentary too!! Easy to access checking in and out, lovely location/scenery and clean facilities. Room was really nice for the money and comfortable bed is a bonus!

Double or Twin Room with Lake View
Situated on the 2nd floor of the Main House, these rooms being the front of the House provide a rare view onto Windermere Lake. Dogs cannot be accommodated in this room type.
Standard Double or Twin Room
These rooms are situated either on the top floor of the main house or in a building in the grounds of the main house and have woodland views. They come with 1 king-size bed or 2 single beds and have oak furnishings, hot drink making facilities and en-suite bathrooms. One bedroom has a bath - please request this upon booking if you require it. If a lower ground floor is needed, this is subject to availability by request. The ground floor rooms are dog friendly. Please request prior to arrival.
Superior Double or Twin Room
Set on the ground or first floor, these superior rooms are very well appointed in Scandinavian lodges with lovely views. Please note, there are 2 ground-floor rooms with wet rooms for disabled guests. Please request ground floor rooms when booking.
Twin Room with Lake View
Dogs cannot be accommodated in this room type.
Single Room
These rooms are situated in the property's grounds in an accommodation block. They all have woodland views.
