The location was amazing and the house had everything you could wish for. The courtyard in the back was a lovely sun trap and the scones and cake were delicious! Dyson hairdryer an extra treat. It was a fantastic base to explore Amble and surroundings.

Loved the location and the style of the property, really comfortable, and parking right outside the door was a bonus. The small area in the rear was ideal for a gentle relax in the morning. Didn't realise it was a bank holiday weekend and had fairground shows just outside the property which did block some of the views but as it shuts down around 8pm was not a real issue. Everything you need was there and it was a lovely touch having scones, cream and jam along with a cake as a thank you for booking, they were delicious

“Lovely quiet spot by the sea”

This is a cracking house located very close to the harbour with a wonderful walk around the pier/breakwater to wake up with first thing each day. The house is tastefully and imaginatively decorated. The shower is powerful and the beds very comfortable. This is a very quiet spot but is just a few minutes walk from pubs and shops. Amble has an excellent bus service from Fourways about 10 minutes walk away. This facilitated some great walks back along the coastal path

The property was perfect and the owners so very helpful. We had been let down by another property arriving to find people already in it and we booked The Anchorage late. Within a couple of hours the place was ready for us, even with freshly backed scones and a cake. I am so glad we found The Anchorage. The house is a great size. It is spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. The views of the sea are fabulous. It is really well located to explore Northumberland.

The property itself is exceptional. Extremely well equipped and has been decorated to the highest of standards. Inside and outside it has everything a holiday home should have. Properties often say beachfront, but there’s a ramp or a distance to travel. Here you open the front door, cross a road and you’re in the beach car park. Easy access to every part of Amble. We are hoping to re book. Can’t recommend enough. Excellent communication from your host Jen too.

The house was beautiful. The way it has been restored and designed with high quality finishings. The house was fabulously located with walks from the door to the beaches, dunes and town. Our little dog loved it. Amble is a clean and friendly place and somewhere we would defintely return to. Short drive out to Alnwick, Alnmouth and Craster, all worthy of visiting. The beds and bedding were good quality as well as the dyson hairdryer to use. Nothing is spared. The host was contactable and very accommodating. We were provided with a fabulous pack of goodies.

This is a beautiful, comfortable and tastefully decorated house with a lovely modern kitchen. The fresh, homemade baking is also a lovely touch and was very well received. We just loved coming back after a day of exploring to to relax in front of the log fire in living room. The beds are extremely comfortable and an excellent shower too! A great location near the harbour and beach at Amble so everything was just a short walk away.
