Given the fact that this is a very small apartment, the facilities are superb. Everything has been well thought out, from the placing of the tiniest dishwasher to the well padded boiler cupboard that also housed iron and ironing board. I would boldly suggest that the facilities were arranged by a female because we are a very demanding species!!

We Book the Loft and it was just Perfect. The space is so well Designed and every Detail is though of so that you feel so comfortable. The Host was also extremely helpful giving us local tipps and making sure all our wishes were satisfied - thank you!! Amarante was also a surprise - is a beautiful city with so kind and welcome people.

The style of the property with multiple windows and balconies, the views and the location were all excellent. The "hosts" also checked in with us to make sure everything was OK and were very helpful with any questions which we had. The air con worked well as did the cooker. The property was quiet even though it was right in the middle of the town and close to shops and the river.

We loved our stay at Casa do Fontanário. The apartment is very well equipped and has two nice balconies with beatiful views to the river. It's right in the centre of the town so you can walk everywhere. The host was very friendly and gave us some really helpful tips. We will definitely come back

Great location and very nice apartment.

Stayed in the loft. Tastefully decorated, comfortable bed and very clean. The location is a short stroll to most of the sites. Car parking is very easy also. The host is the most communicative and helpful of our 3 weeks in Spain and Portugal.

The accommodations were so easily located with parking! And the view from the balconies were so amazing. The balcony from my bedroom faced the sunset over the mountains and river perfectly. I loved sitting out there. The bed was SO comfortable! Later that weekend I stayed at a 4-star vineyard and can honestly say the bed at casa do fontanario was more comfortable. It was also perfectly located, within a quick walk of many restaurants. The host gave me wonderful recommendations and what to see and what to eat, and I had one of the best meals in all of Portugal here! I loved the ease of check in and check out and there were heaters in the living room and bedroom which made it comfortable. The river walk which was just a few steps from the house was so scenic and peaceful. I felt SO relaxed in Amarante! And everyone I met was seriously so so friendly.

From the terrace, we could enjoy amazing views of the Tâmega River and the sunset beyond the hills. The Tâmega River trekking course is just a 3-minute walk away, making it perfect for daily walks. The apartment is beautifully designed with great attention to detail, have cozy atmosphere.
