This roadside hotel is in the Østerdalen region, in the town of Alvdal. It offers en-suite guest rooms, free Wi-Fi and free private parking. Alvdal Station is about 5 minutes’ walk away. All of Taverna Alvdal’s rooms have a sofa and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. The spacious on-site restaurant serves traditional Norwegian dishes as well as international cuisine. Nice bathroom, comfortable beds. The hotel seemed very clean overall, one of the cleanest I've been to. Breakfast was superb, it even had mackerel available.

Staff was exceptionally helpful and very very friendly. I had a mechanical issue with my bicycle and they were able to provide me the tools to fix it.

“Avoid if possible.”
The beds where ok, a bit hard, but not the worst. Easy access to the rooms, lots of charging stations outside if needed. Short trip the the store, and you will shop there mostly because of the insane prices the the motel.

Good location on Rv3, 24 hours check-in, nice breakfast. Large room. You can get a glass of beer or wine even if you arrive very late.

“A perfect stop during our roadtrip”
The staff was friendly and helpfull. Everthing was clean. The breakfast was good with some local dishes - such as waffles with norweigian brown cheese.
