A true gem of peace, nature and comfort! My partner and I spent two wonderful nights here while exploring the region, and it was the perfect retreat. From the moment we arrived, Lizz and her partner, Jan, made us feel completely at home with their warm, genuine welcome. The property itself is beautiful, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully equipped with countless details that make all the difference for a great stay. We especially loved the extra-comfortable bed and the fantastic bathroom, complete with a massage bath and lovely organic lavender soap. One of the absolute highlights was the breakfast. Enjoying delicious, healthy, and freshly made smoothies and juices outside amongst the greenery was the perfect way to start our days. Thank you for creating such a special and restorative space. We left feeling refreshed, and can't recommend it enough!

The setting on the highest point of the Camino from Alvaiazere was stunning and the gardens beautiful. The food was top notch and there was a very relaxed vibe. I would have liked to stay longer

Lizz is a wonderful hostess. She has a beautiful calm energy. The house has the same energy, like a sanctuary. You are up high in the hills with only the sounds of nature. It id extremely peaceful. Lizz is a wonderful cook and the dinner and breakfast were the best food we’ve had in Portugal. Healthy, fresh, delicious and made with love.

Lizz is an exceptional, friendly host. The accommodation is warm and comfortably furnished. I immediately felt welcome and very comfortable. She is an excellent cook and the breakfast was lovingly and appetisingly prepared.

Amazing and relaxing place, precious and delicious natural food. Hosts are really nice, make you feel confortable and home feeling. Beautiful garden, so quite at night so you are able to listen surrounding nature.

Giving them a 10 is an understatement. They deserve a 10 out of 10, highlighting the human quality of the hosts. Calm, peace, relaxation... are words that perfectly define the stay in this wonderful house. Food, in addition to feeding, nourishes the soul. Great experience. Thank you :)

“perfect oasis and hosts”

Liz and Jan are the perfect hosts. The guesthouse is along the camino and attracts a lot of walkers. The grounds and outside area are superb and well maintained. A beautiful green oasis cared for with love. Liz and Jan enjoy having guests and know home to make them feel at home. Liz is a wellness expert and also offers delicious and healthy homecooked meals in the evening that you can book in advance when you stay there. We arrived rather late and did not feel like eating a three course meal but I would definitely recommend it otherwise. Liz made us a beautiful veggie (some from the garden!), fruit and snack platter with drinks to enjoy while sitting outside. We had the small double room with shared bathroom which worked out well for us. My daughter enjoyed lounging in the hammock and playing with the cats. Everything is sparkling clean. Downstairs is a huge living room with TV and games for guests to use. There is a dipping pool to cool off. The breakfast next morning was excellent and healthy. Good coffee, tea, smoothie, yogurt with fresh berries, bread and egg/quiche thingies. The hosts are a joy and I am looking forward to visit again.

Everything was absolutly excelent!!! The location, all the space , all the details, some of them look "random" but everything works perfectly. The garden, the most amazing hand made signature breakfast ( different every day ). Also a perfect place to take your pet! He also didn't wanted to leave. And, very important, not to forget : Jan and Lizz, the hosts. Coudn't ask for better hosts and how good it was talking to you. “The perfect stay for some rest and relaxation”

My stay here in the Wellness Guesthouse was one of the highlights of my trip. It was like a home away from home. Jan and Liz are fantastic hosts, Liz made a three course dinner for me and it was 10/10 and the breakfast the next morning was super healthy, nutritious and so tasty. This is the perfect stay when you need some R&R after a few days on the Camino. I couldn’t recommend it enough, it was just pure bliss. After my stay I felt rejuvenated for the next part of my trip.
