Overview
This family-run, 4-star hotel lies in the centre of Altötting, just steps from the famous Chapel of Grace, and offers comfortable rooms, themed suites and an 18-metre long swimming pool. The cosy rooms of the Hotel König Ludwig are well-equipped and feature free Wi-Fi internet access. The suites come in a variety of different themes, such as Oriental, Venetian, Amazonian and Japanese. Most come with their own sauna and a few feature a waterbed, steam bath, sunbed and hot tub. Look forward to the König Ludwig's delicious, complimentary breakfast buffet each morning before exploring the town and visiting its chapels and churches. Excellent room in the King Ludwing wing of the Hotel Plankl. Breakfast was served in the adjacent Plankl restaraunt and was very good with lots of variety of hot and cold offerings. Room service was provided daily.

The hotel has great facilities. The indoor pool had a comfortable temperature and the private sauna in the hotel room was a cherry on top. The staff was professional and friendly. Loved the breakfast selection. The design of the rooms is a matter of personal taste but all in all a lovely stay.

Great breakfast buffet with lots of choice. I love the pool in the hotel and go for a swim every morning before breakfast. Location is very good, too (close to train station and close to town centre but in a quiet road).
