Overview
Just 1,000 metres from the Toscana Congress Centre and Seeschloss Palace, the Aktivhotel Wildschütz in Salzkammergut was renovated in 2015 and offers quiet rooms with flat-screen TVs and free WiFi and an on-site restaurant. The four-star active hotel feature double rooms and Junior Suites with wooden floors and mattresses made of natural latex. Buffet breakfast with regional products is prepared every morning at the Stüberl restaurant. The Gmunden Sports Centre, tennis courts, riding facilities and Solarbad Altmünster Pool are only a 2-minute drive from the Aktivhotel Wildschütz. Lake Traunsee is 10 minutes away on foot, and Altmünster can be reached in a 3-minute drive.

it will be good not only to have 24/7 checkin option but as well checkout, in order to allow people leave hotel when they need and do checkout by themselves

“Nice hotel, quiet and clean, worth staying.”
The hotel locates next to a playfield but it is quiet. The check-in system is clear and smart so that people only need their passports without talking to others. The room is large and clean. There are always hot water during the day in early April.

Clean, modern rooms with beds and furniture made from high-quality wood. The self check-in process was simple and convenient. The hotel also offers a sauna. It is located in a quiet area near Traunsee. This region of the Austrian lakes is perfect for off-season hiking.

The property was really inviting - the little courtyard out front is lovely and the pictures of animals are quite entertaining I must say. Although it’s actually automated check in, we were greeted by the amazing Elisabeth who was so friendly, helpful and all around lovely human. We really noticed that she and her colleague Alexandra went to so much trouble as the hotel was booked for an ice skating competition next door. There was lots of extra Nutella and semmeln for the kids and the to go cups of coffee were the absolute “cherry on top”.

“A lovely and high quality hotel further from a city buzz with very nice staff.”
Super friendly staff, they even helped me arrange a little birthday surprise for my sister with some slices of cake and a drink. We had a compact but nice quality room, and we had a great time in the wellness section both nights. A special highlight that there is a self-service coffee, tea, water and juice station for guests 24/7 which added an extra touch of friendliness, especially when we arrived late night. Self check-in machine is also helpful when the time of arrival is uncertain or is in late hours, like ours.

Great room - mirrors, huge bath, glass wall, styled nicely, comfy bed. You can get tea/coffee almost around the clock. The spa area is pleasant. Check-in was easy.
