Great welcoming by the staff, great food, very quiet

“Best family holiday ever! Will definitely make a return visit if we can!”

We loved everything about this incredible hotel; from every single member of the amazing staff, the location in the incredible surrounds of Alta (but only a 20min drive to town) to the relaxed Hygge vibe and opportunities to see the Aurora and do snowy activities! It has beautiful furnishings, a fantastic fire (!) and is immaculately clean. The chef created some amazing food also.

“Spectacular stay!”

Saw the Northern Lights through my bedroom window, slid down the snow slopes with this little snow cart they had, went skiing on our last day at the Sarves Alta Station, which is a 5 minute walk from the lodge. Beware of skiing days: they do not open on fridays, which was the only downside to this stay, but didn’t compromise our experience. They have a sheep farm and they are lovely. Felt very welcome by a diverse staff from Latvia, Lituania, Philippines and, of course, Norway. Would come back many times!

Almost everything was perfect. Quiet, clean, comfortable beds, nice view, very friendly staff.

Fresh, nice and warm designed room and lounge. Loved the option of having breakfast on the porch’s. All in all chill atmosphere

The awesome friendly staff, (mother and daughter, if i understood correctly?). Unique location, and the food was all local and some even home grown in the garden or greenhouse

Great location with beautiful surroundings. Must recommend the Arctic Romance Package. Stunning breakfast with finely selected offering. I travel a lot and have started rating the places I stay by the quality of the breakfast bacon. I have to admit that this place is the new "king of the hill" on Matti's bacon index. Absolute 6/5 👌

We stayed at the hotel for a few days and were very pleased. The location is perfect — quiet, surrounded by forest and beautiful nature. Special thanks to the staff! Everyone was very friendly, attentive, and ready to help in any situation. You can really feel that they care about their guests. The room was clean and cozy, with everything we needed. We enjoyed both breakfast and especially dinner — everything was tasty and made with care. A great place for a peaceful getaway. We will definitely come back!

The staff were super helpful and answered all our questions. We booked experiences and transport ahead of time and everyone was great at communicating and confirming our bookings. The food was super tasty and customised to my allergies. Also the atmosphere was super cosy.

All the staff spoke great English, made us feel welcome and relaxed. It's a peaceful, family run atmosphere which has been decorated beautifully throughout. The food at dinner was delicious- all three courses, and breakfast choices were very good too. Water pressure in the shower was great! Really nice small touches like the quality of the shampoo and showergel and that there was both hand wash and cream in the bathroom, gave it a more luxury spa feel. Plus having usb sockets built into the headboards made charging devices easy and not on the floor for once!! Overall though it's the staff that made us feel welcome and comfortable.

“Hidden in the forest but worth the visit”

A bit outside of Alta in a beautiful mountain forest. The team was incredible helpful and friendly, preparing everything in a perfect way - there was no need to ask anything from our side. Pretty modern cabin with full view windows and a LOT of space. Dinner was excellent and the breakfast had everything you would like to have for a good start in the day. Really happy with our choice to stay there - so we will come back for sure. :)
