Marta and her husband were so sweet and welcoming … we were out of season and they went out of their way to organise an abseiling trip for my husband .. the food and morning fire for breakfast made us feel like we were staying with friends … so happy we found this lovely place emma and jon

A wonderful experience. Marta was very accommodating and gave plenty of ideas for my stay. I was also able to park my small car in the front garden area for free which was very convenient. The room was immaculate - everything looked and worked like new. It also had a great view of the castle and landscape. I opted to do the big hike out to Colungo and back and it did not disappoint. A great way to see the countryside. Dinner was also a surprise. I was expecting some simple rustic food but the quality was on par with any fine dining experience. I can definitely recommend the octopus. I wish I had stayed longer. This was definitely the highlight of my trip to Spain.

The location was exceptional, the cleanliness of the room was immaculate and it was very comfortable and tranquil. Marta and Sergio were fabulous hosts. They even let us park the motorcycle in their gated garden. The information we received about the local area on arrival was fantastic. As it's such a small beautiful hotel you are made to feel very looked after, it's an incredibly delightfully chilled atmosphere. An added bonus is the beautifully kept municipal pool which is only a few minutes walk away and Marta supplied us with pool towels. We would definitely return if we have the opportunity.

“Lovely modern hotel in ancient village”

Marta sent us lots of information ahead of our visit so that we could book activities in advance. She also gave us lots of suggestions on arrival. The hotel is very modern and uncluttered. Our room had a lovely balcony with amazing views of the castle and surrounding scenery. Marta also suggested we park our motorbikes in her garden, even though the free parking just outside the hotel seems very secure.

Lovely owners, the hotel was very tastefully decorated, furnished to a high standard and very clean. Beautiful bedroom and bathroom, great location. Although the breakfast wasn’t huge it was excellent quality food that was prepared and presented with care. We had one evening meal which again was local produce and beautiful.

“Stay here!”

This is a fantastic place to stay.. We had a room with a great view of the old town from the balcony. Car parking is readily available in the public car park, which is a short 20m walk from the hotel. The rooms were super clean, spacious, and very functional, including a large bathroom and a great shower.. Bed were large and very comfortable. We had both the al a carte breakfast and dinner in the hotel and found both the be excellent. Great food, great local wine, and reasonably priced. The owners were friendly and helpful - even helping with translation of some info we received from our next accom site. If we are back in Alquezar, we will definitely stay again.
