A fabulous hotel. We had only booked one night but fortunately we were able to keep our room for a second night which gave us more time to explore the wonderfully interesting village. Our room was a good size, the bed was so comfortable and there was a super bathroom. We also had a terrace which overlooked some of the village and far reaching views over mountains and gorges and where we could watch the large vultures flying around. The pool was beautiful but rather too cold for us which was a shame. The staff were so very nice, helpful and cheerful, especially Pedro for whom nothing seemed to be too much trouble. There are plenty of restaurants close by though as usual, limited on the weekend. Breakfast was plentiful and good quality. As we were on our way back to the UK from southern Spain via northern France I doubt we would be in the area again which is a shame as we'd so love to re-visit this hotel.

Location was central, easy to get to and good parking. Very much liked the variation in the hotel’s layout and the hacienda feel, the quiet areas with sofas / chairs, where you could chill in peace and quiet. The allocated rooms were ample and spotless. Loads of hot water and shower had a great pressure. One room had a terrace with a lovely view over the castle. The staff encountered were welcoming and friendly. Enjoyed that breakfast awaited you at the table and no need to run the gauntlet of the buffet self service. Sit down and enjoy being serviced with a smile. The pool was a godsend after a day hiking or wandering. Plenty of loungers, some in proper shade. Another place to chill before dinner.

Magnificent renovated complex in the stunning old village of Alquazar. Breakfast every morning was very generous. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. It was raining so we didnt do the gorge walk unfortunately, but enjoyed our walk around the village and to the church. Heated towel rail was much appreciated for drying towels in wet, cold weather. Beautiful pool area and gardens for warmer days. Parking onsite was tight but a huge advantage and we were very appreciative of it.

Clean, comfortable and an excellent location to explore the town. Breakfast was excellent, but do feel it may be worth consulting clients being serving, to prevent food waste. As a non meat eater I was slightly uncomfortable with the food I was unable to eat.

“A true hidden gem in the heart of the old town”

This place is truly a hidden gem: private parking, a pool, an inner garden, and a dining area — an exceptional set of amenities for the center of an old historic town. Breakfast is served by waiters instead of a buffet, which creates a much more refined and pleasant start to the day. The view from our window was stunning — overlooking the monastery and offering a breathtaking sunrise right above it.

Authentic food for breakfast. Best location for Alquezar tour and hiking around the valley. Just 3 min walk to the ticket office and entrance to the valley. Large car parking space- safe. Reception was very helpful, they provided everything we requested. Cheap breakfast options are available nearby.

“Great staff and wonderful location”

This family run hotel has the most incredible staff, led by Pedro the manager. All the staff seem to want you to have the best stay possible. The view from our room (26) was just incredible, right out over the canyon. we watched Griffin vultures circling and the setting sun casting such a compelling light.

“Beautiful clean hotel with secure parking”

Efficient check in with friendly competent staff, clean rooms, and secure parking for cars and motorcycles. Breakfast was typical Spanish in a pleasant dining room. The parking is to the rear of the hotel up a steep cobbled street with a sharp right turn while still on a steep slope, first gear all the way and do not stop! If you are on a large cruiser maybe walk up to the entrance first to see if you can manage it ! Adventure or sports tourer will be easy.
