The peace and quiet. The building and the decoration. The nature all around and the tranquility of the place. Very peaceful and beautiful to relax and enjoy family time.

We visited between Christmas and New Year's Eve. The odds seemed great from the beginning, when shortly after the booking we received an e-mail with very useful info and tips about our stay - we sensed these people didn't just rent a place, they cared about our stay. In theory there was no breakfast provided - that was the "deal", anyway. However, the kitchen was well equipped with necessary stuff, coffee, sugar etc, all utensils you would need to make something to start your day with or cook a meal, plus a nice selection of complimentary spirits, in case you felt like a glass of wine or Metaxa in the evening. Pleasantly surprised... Add to the above 3 bedrooms, sofas, comfortable chairs, great view from the many windows (you could sit on the bottom of the wide frame of each and enjoy the morning sun-rays), the discrete yet audible sound of running water on the small river outside, a nice balcony, the vast use of wood as building material making the whole place feeling "warm". Talking about warmth, the digital temperature control in the place is outstanding, would be perfect on a winter day with snow outside - there is a fireplace too, we didn't use as the weather was rather warm for this time of the year. Last but not least, perfectly located to visit all places of interest around, Vytina, Dimitsana, Stemnitsa, the Mainalo skiing complex etc, Alonistena itself - only 20 kms from Tripoli - is a beautiful village. We did a 6-8 kms walk in the nearby woods and it was rejuvenating!
