Excellent property - highly recommend. Great communication from the host from the off, and then good communication throughout when I had a few questions about the area. The property is a conversion into a ground floor apartment within an older building just across the road from the Castle entrance - it's all been furnished really nice to feel homely without feeling cluttered, nice low level lighting, soft furnishings etc. Very well equipped, with the added bonus of a lovely garden (which alas we couldn't use because it was so cold) and a washing machine. The weather was bad, so it was nice to have proper control over the heating, and it got warm very quickly. Full access to streaming services as well, which can be handy. Parking is free with a permit and just round the corner from the accommodation, very handy. A couple of minutes round the corner and you are right in the centre of Alnwick's main shopping area, everything is very walkable from the property. There were also a few goodies left for us for when we arrived, which was a lovely surprise. Good shower, a bath too, nice comfy bed, plenty of storage throughout, a very thorough welcome book, and even a permit for other parking areas around Northumberland. We had a lovely time and will be recommending this place to anybody we know who wants to stay in lovely Alnwick. We don't have a dog, but looks like it's very accommodating for pooch-parents too.

Excellent location for the centre of Alnwick and beautiful walks by the river. Easy to park nearby. The flat had all necessary amenities, and the hoats left us a lovely welcome pack for us and our ppoch. The enclosed garden was great with having a dog. The bedroom and sofa were very comfortable. It was a very peaceful place to stay.

There was a lovely greeting gift of wine and snacks on arrival and the owner very kindly let us check in early as we was attending a wedding at the castle which started at 2.30pm with no extra charge allowing us to get ready in time without travelling (4 hour travel) in our wedding attire.

Great location. Close to castle, pubs and restaurants but still very quiet. Easy parking with a residents pass which was provided. Great shower, comfortable bed. Well equipped kitchen. Excellent communication with owner. There's a lovely enclosed garden too, although we didn't use it in November. It would certainly be a pleasant place to sit in warmer weather. The location was excellent. The apartment was like a home from home. Parking was just around the corner, with a permit provided. Very comfortable bed and lovely linen. Very thoughtful welcome pack provided.

Lovely welcome pack for us and for our dog and information on hand about the area and local places to visit. Comfortable and clean. Great location a few minutes walk from lots of bars and shops and a great base from which to visit places like Bambugh. Pretty much as advertised and photos a good likeness of what awaits.
