We stayed four nights and had an incredible stay. The rooms were clean and spacious. Each morning, we woke up with a beautiful sunrise over the Umbrian hills. Very romantic! Dinner was excellent as well!

It's one of the nicest places we stayed at, on top of a hill. The views of the surrounding area is stunning and the location is perfect for visiting other places of historic interest. Besides the bedroom and bathroom there was also a lounge where you could watch TV. The hosts served a continental breakfast and we tried also the dinner which reflected local dishes. There is also a swimming pool if you fancy a bit of exercise

The accommodations are an oasis of calm with a unique atmosphere. You feel secluded from the rest of the world in the best way possible, yet still in good hands. The high-quality furnishings are lovingly personalized, the beds are super comfortable, and there are cozy inviting angles everywhere. In short, it's a place full of zest for life. Even after just a long weekend, I had the feeling of a long, relaxing vacation. This is particularly due to the hosts, Sven and Michele. Their hospitality, friendliness, and warmth make the place special! They have great recommendations for the surrounding area and are incredibly helpful.

The warm armosphere …inside like an art museum, and outside a huge terrace overlooking the beautiful Umbrian country side and a gigantic pool. But the very best part where our hosts, Sven and Michele, two of the most caring , friendly and efficient staff a person could desire.

The host was very gracious for example while the breakfast served was an Italian breakfast comprising cakes and coffee, the hosts provided me healthier options as a diabetic. Additionally, the property is in a magical spot and has a beautiful pool with extraordinary views. The hosts were lovely people and made us feel at home away.

“Calm country stay”

We stayed with 2 persons for 3 nights in the second week of September. The accommodation is on the land side on a hill overlooking the valley. We booked the studio which is on the upper floor and providing a second smaller room with a sofa and view to the valley and pool. The room is not equipped with a fridge or an AC but a standing fan and a TV (in case you need entertainment). The bed was very comfortable. A high quality mattress and good pillows helped us to sleep long and deep. The windows are all equipped with insect meshes and you can close the windows in different way, also to blackout the light in case you prefer it dark. Enough towels are provided, also separate towels for the pool. The bathroom is small, clean and neat. There is a good water pressure for hot and cold water. The entire house is well furnished, decorated in a kind of English landhouse style and very clean. The host is very helpful and responds quickly to inquiries. The simple breakfast comes with fresh juice, coffe/tea, white bread, butter and an assortment of marmalade. No yoghurt, cheese, eggs nor ham etc. The surrounding area is 100% landslide, so very quiet. 😉 The pool is big and well maintained. Enough parasols and places to lay down for a relaxed afternoon at the pool. Please be aware, that the next town with restaurants or to run groceries is about 20min driving, mostly on dirt roads. We enjoined our stay. Thanks a lot 🙏

“An unforgettable Italian experience”

My stay at Casa Rafaella was one of the most peaceful, magical and romantic experiences of my life, and I wasn't even expecting this as a solo traveler! In the home, there is a story behind every item (art, photos, furniture, etc.) that connect you to Sven and Michele's lives and family histories. I spent three weeks traveling around Italy, and this place was the one that literally took my breath away, everyday. When I was here, I felt, "This is everything I imaged Italy to be." The rooms were spotlessly cleaned and the bed was SO comfortable. The stone walls are charming and they keep the room a comfortable temperature even though it was very hot outside. I also chose to enjoy the dinner option, and it was the best decision I made! The food was the most delicious I had in Italy, and the views/set-up at night time are so peaceful and romantic. Michele is an amazing chef! Michele and Sven are incredible hosts. They are genuinely great people who put so much heart and care into this place, making it feel like a home away from home (but SO much better, of course!). I can't recommend this location enough for anyone looking to experience the true magic of Italy. It's an unforgettable place where beauty, love, and warmth come together to create something truly special.

Beautiful place with amazing view, very warm hosts who took good care of their guests. Comfortably furnished and clean room, big swimming pool, possibility of breakfast and very good dinners.

“Best Italian B&B (and hosts) ever!”

Absolutely everything was perfect about this place and it’s hosts, Sven and Michele. The country house is the most beautiful, scenic B&B you will have ever seen. The pictures even don’t do fully justice to the incredible view from the terrace and swimming pool. The room was extremely clean, super cosy and fresh. The hosts are the most warm people. Sven gave us many recommendations for to do’s in the neighbourhood (which were all spot on :)) and Michele cooked the utmost delicious Italian food (which we enjoyed with candle light on the terrace during romantic diners). In short: impossible to regret this stay! Our only regret is that we did not stay longer!

We stayed here for one night as a stopover to the Amalfi coast, so glad we chose Country House La Collina di Bargiano - Casa Raffaella. Great welcome and friendly hosts. Attention to detail throughout the lovely accommodation. When people take pride in what they do it shows and Sven and Michele the owners are passionate about serving their guests and it certainly shows. The dinner was delicious and plentiful. Bed was comfy, many pillows per person which isn't always the case, high quality linen and towels and very quiet. Stunning views of the Umbrian countryside and a huge, wonderful pool to enjoy a swim. The hosts were very welcoming and offered an amazing dinner with some really wonderful wine. The room was of a good size and very comfortable. A very peaceful location, with gorgeous views out towards Orvieto. Altogether, an excellent overnight stay.
