“We recommend!! A calm and enchanted sanctuary”

We loved this place. We had booked for 2 nights and we wish we could have stayed longer ! Valantine is an amazing person, kind, always trying to help you and please you, and he speaks English well. His property is really nice, along a small canal, among the rice fields, very calm and peaceful, with a lot of birds. We stayed in a small house in the garden with a terrace with a view on the canal. House was simple but clean. (A new house will be available soon and we could visit it : it's going to be as good as a four star hotel bedroom!) We ate here for all the meals : he perfectly adapted the food to our taste (lactose intolerant and not spicy), everything is fresh, tasty and made to explore the local cuisine. We did the guided tour in his traditional canoe at dawn, really nice experience. He also lend us his small canoe for us to try to kayak in the canals (not so easy but fun to try). He's very happy to show you his country and his culture.

“A Peaceful Haven”

I stayed at Valentine Homestay for 4 days as a solo female traveler. The host was Very attentive and protective, he picked me up from Alleppey to make my arrival easier and dropped me at a good place to take the ferry to Alleppey. I stayed in a simple room away from the main house. The village is friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed morning and evening walks along the canals, where there is plenty of birdlife, such as chestnut headed bee eaters, open bill storks, various kingfishers and many more. The WiFi was strong and reliable. Food was plentiful and delicious. Easy boat access at 7:15 AM to Edathua for church/temple visits (return later) boats go to Champakulam too where you can visit the oldest church in Kerala.

A rural home stay in the heart of a village. Very quiet, beautiful and serene. Valentine was the most hospitable host and served us delicious Keralan cuisine. Highly recommend the boat tour surrounded by nature and wildlife. Would stay again!

“Disappointed with the stay”

The image shown doesn't match with the stay provided, no AC, NO WIFI, no hot water facility in the room, rooms and bathrooms were not clean... Even drinking water was provided at an additional cost. The caretaker was not cordial in approach...

The food Valentino made was very delicious Keralan food in very affordable price. Valentino was very kind and helpful in many ways. The location in the middle of rice fields and small canals was amazingly beautiful!!! Be aware that the location is far away from villages etc., so there will be quiet, calm and beautiful. I really recommend the canoe experience for everyone.

The owner was extremely accommodate and stayed up late to guide and make me feel comfortable.

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Valentine's Home. Its quaint, rustic, independent with majestic view of paddy fields from the backyard. They prepared homemade food for us and it was delicious and healthy. This place is away from the hustle bustle of Alleppey city.

“Relaxing Backwaters Stay”

This is the perfect place to stay if you are looking to relax by the narrow waterways in Kerela and experience some of village life! Although naturally there are not many amenities and restaurants nearby, the host offers home cooked meals at extra cost which is very convinent! They also have an impressive collection of antiques! The hosts were very friendly and went above and beyond to help us enjoy our stay! The room and bathroom were also very clean and comfortable!

Valentine Is a great men. His homestay stays in the middle of Channels Rivers lakes and fields of Rice. The villages here are so and you can rest a lot.

This place in the lap of nature was quite a happy surprise for us. It's in the midst of real village with paddy fields and lots of water bodies and canals. The old Kerala heritage building with many items that we see only in museums nowadays are preserved and explained to the curious visitors. Amazing to experience the Kerala heritage home stay.
