“Lovely Pastoral Farm-home with Wonderful Hosts”

Lovely pastoral farm-home adjoining a paddy field barely 100 metres from the pookaitha river. Main highlight is the expectionally responsive host team of Sreekumar, Harishankar and Sini, led by a visionary who has carefully worked on all aspects of the house from ground visibility [to keep away reptiles] to types of trees planted [coconut and mango trees with incredibly low hanging fruits] to full coverage outside lighting. One can laze in a hammock under the shade of the coconut trees or stroll along the pond thats located within the compound. You could also avail local boating or kayaking services. Enjoy food by the hosts or order online or ride to local mid-level eateries. With the hosts planning even more improvements, this could turn out to be a destination location for low intensity, off-Alappuzha tourists. Pillows could have been softer, a room access miscommunication was entirely avoidable and the local loudspeaker was a nuisance, but the wonderful hosts made up for all that and more!

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Rio Casa homestay on December 26th and 27th, 2023. I was travelling with my family and this stop-over was one of the best on our trip! Harishankar and his lovely family was most hospitable, accomodating and helpful. The beautifully well-maintained house faces the lovely Pookaitha river, with lush green vegetation on either side, in a beautifully picturesque and peaceful setting. One can see the local children and adults jump in and enjoy a swim, as well as tourist boats and fishermen make their way up and down the river. There are also activities like boating and kayaking for those interested. Our highlight of the day was the mouth-watering traditional breakfast and tea prepared by Sini chechi! On the whole, for us, it felt like staying with family, and our only regret was we couldn't stay longer. A big thank you to Hari and his lovely family! We hope to be back soon!

Beautiful property located in a very quiet area between the National Waterway and Kanjipadam, (an amazing paddy field extended to the villa compound - trust me, it’s a great view). The property is run by an awesome couple, their approach and hospitality towards us were remarkable which made our short stay comfortable and ever remembered ones. We have stayed in our comfort zone for 4 days before we moved out. Last but not the least, we have been served with Hot and delicious Breakfast as per our convenience. We have promised them for our return in couple of months during our next vacation 🥰. Highly recommended to people who is willing to spend their vacation in peace ✌️
