Clean spacious room. We came for the pool, mainly. It wassparkling clean and we enjoyed. Also, their breakfast was so filling.

Loved this homestay. Maybe the best accommodation we ever stayed in. Excellent hospitality without false smiles. Everything was just right. Perfect for families. The pool was super clean and great fun, especially the swings. Also their garden was too good.

A friendly welcoming owner and lovely helpfull staff, a good quiet green location halfway in the middle of beach and backwwater ferries, cleam and comfortable rooms, with fan, airco and hot water, and.... a beautiful clean swimming pool for cooling off during the hot daytime!

The stay is perfect for families, with rooms that comfortably accommodate four people. The swimming pool is neat and well-maintained, and the complimentary breakfast—especially the masala dosa and sambar made with drumsticks freshly plucked from their farm—was absolutely delicious. The host is easy to communicate with and very welcoming.

“Perfect homestay, amazing hospitality”

Love the feel of the place. Lots of love exist here. Owner's son riding around with hos cycle with children of other guests, families enjoying swimming pool, smiling staff and Johnson Sir himself are all positive influences. Rooms are clean, ac works perfect in this humid hot climate and the food is delicious. We tried lunch once and decided to have dinner also. Their village canoe cruise was soooo peaceful. Location perfect, perfect for bird enthusiasts. And a wonderful garden in the house as well. We loved it. Everyone will.

Loved the room, the pool and above all their village canoe cruise. They took us out of the touristy area of the backwaters to a peaceful village. Small canals, bigger waterways, lots of birds, it was just beautiful. And it included food. The host is also a very nice person. Highly recommended. You can't go wrong at Johnson's. But remember that this is not a luxury home. Not for the high cleanliness conscious type of guests who expect too much service and forget how much they are actually paying. For a hotel with swimming pool, I think it should be priced higher.

Swimming pool was clean and well maintained with good cover making it usable during the day. Breakfast was excellent, it was home cooked and delicious with multiple options.

The behaviour and the vibe of the owner and in this price he is providing very clean swiming pool. I personally loved it the hospitality given by the owner was also great. It's very good in this price point

“Johnson family the best .”

Picked the property for its location and because of the many excellent reviews . Johnson and his family are a true force of nature and welcomed us into their home not as guests but as extended members of the family . The rooms are what you would expect from a true home stay of it’s age with plenty of character. The water was scorching hot when needed unlike many we have stayed in this year travelling up through Kerala . There is the best swimming pool at the rear perfect for cooling down after a long day and Johnson is always on hand should you want or need anything . Breakfast was served in your room which was nice for us as we had a front facing balcony, and was lovely. Whilst there we enjoyed a canoe trip organised by the man himself who dropped us off at the canoe and returned in the evening to pick us up . On check out we were asked how we were going to travel to Marari Beach about 15 miles away . We said we would get a tuk tuk or taxi at the end of the road but true to his outstanding hosting he insisted on running us in his car and would not take any money as a fare . If your planning a trip to Alleppy don’t miss this unique home stay .

“Great stop near the backwaters”

We had a wonderful stay at Johnson’s as a family of four travelling through Kerala. The room was large and comfy. The pool was a great addition for relaxing during the heat of the day. Johnson recommended a canoe trip and kayaking which were real highlights of our trip. Our kids had a great time with their son Aarayn. Would definitely recommend.
