Amazing attentive and helpful host, amazing place in the middle of tea plantations. There are few amazing walks in the bamboo forest and tea plantations. Driving distance to Alishan. Breakfast was home cooked and delicious.

Super friendly and helpful owners, quiet location, nice hiking trails and café close by. Room is simple but very cosy with great views.

Spacious comfortable room, very clean. Good location and very friendly host! She even offered to pick us up and drop us off in the local town, and gave us tips on what to do in the local area. We enjoyed our stay a lot!

A very friendly homelike stay. The host was very accommodating with picking us up and dropping us off at the nearby town. The location was beautiful, with a reasonably easy transit to Alishan forest. The view from the balcony was amazing and it just felt really homely and nice. The bedroom was nice. Good breakfast provided too, would definetly recomend to others!

“Amazing owners of a cozy home”

The owners are such amazing and helpful people. It felt very much like home, very cozy. You can always ask for help or being picked up from the center (Shizhou). But walking around the area is also very delightful. I would have stayed much longer if my plans weren’t fixed. I hope to come again! Thank you for BBQ and Birthday Party :)

What I liked most about this place was the extremely friendly and helpful owners - they really made us feel welcome. The location was great and very convenient, and the breakfast was exceptional, and excellent quality.

It was clean and cosy, had everything we needed. The host was also very friendly and helpful. Before the stay, she was prompt in answering queries on how to get there. During the stay, she offered to fetch my partner and I to and fro the nearest town (shizhuo) multiple times (do get dinner, to catch buses etc). It was much needed because the properly was quite isolated, we would have to walk 40 mins to the town otherwise. There was also a sumptuous breakfast provided. They also had 3 adorable dogs!

Super helpful and friendly owner who picked us up from ShiZhuo when we arrived, and even offered to send us to Alishan transport station on the day when we check out. Nice scenery, and very homely feel. The hot shower feels soothing. We forgot to print out the pre-booked bus ticket from FamiMart for trip from Alishan to Chiayi, and the owner managed to help us book for a private driver to send us to Chiayi HSR. Very thankful to them both!

Genuine hospitality that still gives you space. Clean and well appointed rooms with good toilets that have good water pressure, consistent water temperature, toilet flushes that work well, power sockets that fit. The minus owners do everything themselves with pride and care. Breakfast is an experience. The views from the property are priceless. The beds are firm, the linen, towels, pillows are great. The rooms are large. There are plenty of places to just walk around and be. Bring some food with you if you don't have self transport or want to make the walk / car pick up into town.

I had a wonderful stay here. While this isn't a 5-star luxury hotel, the hospitality is genuinely 5-star. You can feel the sincerity and care put into the accommodation—it was spotless and incredibly well-stocked with essentials (like a good hair dryer and ample tissues) and thoughtful extras like coffee, tea, and sweets. ​The highlight, however, was the host. She is incredibly kind and friendly. I highly recommend taking the time to chat with her; she was happy to share fascinating stories about her history and local culture. A truly heartwarming experience.

Excellent location, very friendly owners, superb breakfast

“Breathtaking views, warm host, lovely homemade breakfast”

The location of this property was the selling point for me - it's in a remote mountain village with spectacular views. Waking up looking at a mountain is pretty awe-inspiring! Yuling is an incredibly warm host and she goes out of her way for guests, picking them up/dropping them to the bus stop, or to restaurants in the area. She also makes a delicious breakfast!! This was a lovely location to spend a couple of days and a great base to go out hiking for the day. There's also a fantastic coffee shop nearby owed by the local indigenous tribe, who grow their own coffee and sell delicious drinks, desserts and even quiche! I absolutely loved my time here and really enjoyed my chats with Yuling. The location was a highlight of my trip.

If you want to feel at home, this is the place! I’ve never felt more welcome anywhere. The accommodation is run by a lovely couple from a nearby mountain village, incredibly friendly and kind. They made us local oolong tea and chatted with us in English the whole evening. I truly felt like visiting my aunt’s house. :) The breakfast was fantastic and very filling, they even helped us pack it up since we were rushing to Alishan in the morning. The accommodation itself is simple but clean, with a spacious dining room downstairs and a phenomenal view. Highly recommended!
