Papafotis is definitely the most clean place I've been to. The room is very spacious and it has a lovely balcony offering a sea and garden view. You have chairs and table to get a coffee under the sun. The location is also excellent, you have an amazing beach as soon as you are out of the apartment and they also offer a car/scooter rental for a very fair price. Francesca was so lovely, she is a very welcoming person. Her parents are so kind too, her mother kindly offered me some figs from her garden. We felt so welcomed and in a very familiar environment. Thank you Francesca and family! Hopefully see you soon :)

“Beautiful self catering accommodation close to the sea in a quiet resort”

Literally a few metres from the sea front, we had a beautiful room with a wonderful view of the sea. (This was really appreciated because my partner was sick and had to stay in bed for 3 days.) You can believe the photos - the room was spacious, beautifully decorated, well finished, and was carefully thought out. The bed was large and comfortable, although the hard mattress may be tough on your joints after a few days. Good quality bedding and pillows. Great that there were bedside tables and plug sockets on each side. The bathroom was in good order and not too cramped. Bit annoying that the toilet seat didn't quite fit so the lid fell down on us all the time, but otherwise fine. The kitchen facilities were excellent. So good to have a toaster, washing up liquid, tea towel, plenty of room for our food, etc (many places don't). It would be good if there was more than one plug socket in the kitchen area so you could make tea and toast at the same time. Big spacious balcony with views across the harbour to Agia Marina. Absolutely amazing sunrises, if you happen to wake up very early. It would have been useful to have a parasol or awning to hold back the morning sun, as there was no shade until the afternoon, and I got a bit sun burnt! It was lovely to sit there in the evening as the lights come on in Agia Marina and across the mountains. We were very grateful that the balcony windows and the window in the bathroom both had mosquito nets. Excellent wifi signal from our room. There is no bar / communal area at the hotel, but the grounds, stairs, corridors, etc are all very well maintained and well lit at night. You can pay less to stay in Alinda, but this hotel is lovely, and it is worth paying a little extra for a nicer room with thoughtful facilities and good maintenance.

I was quite surprised by your response to my review. My comments were entirely based on my personal experience. I had no intention to be malicious or provide misleading information. I had already shared my concerns about the room with you before. The view was never my priority; the main issue was that the room provided did not meet the standards of the “Superior Studio with Mountain View” category at all. The condition of the room was very inadequate, and the noise from the awning in front of the room kept us awake throughout the night. My review was solely about the physical conditions of the room. However, your personal remarks—especially suggesting that “it would be better if I didn’t travel”—cross the line of respect. The very next night, I stayed at another hotel and gave it a perfect 10 out of 10. Honestly, the room you gave us would be more suitable as a storage or utility space! Writing a review is a guest’s right. If you cannot tolerate that, then the problem lies not with the review but with the service you provide!!

Very clean, and comfortable, with a great bathroom, and excellent a/c. Very bright and airy with nice bedding and decor touches. It all felt very new and very well cared for and maintained. Also in a great location on Alinda Bay, on the beach, with fabulous restaurants nearby. Also have mopeds available which are competitively priced. A lovely walk along the coast takes you back into the port.

Perfect location and great staff, we also rented a car from them. Spacious room.

Our room was spacious, super clean, cleaned every day.. cute seaview balcony, really comfortable bed, also we rented a motorbike there.

“A very friendly family business that offers everything you need for a great stay on a lovely island.”

Francesca offered to help us with a hire car which we were met with at the port, making our arrival very easy especially since we then just had to follow the driver back to the hotel. Both Papa and Francesca were there daily to greet us with their infectious warmth and offer us any advice or information that we might need. The room was plain but comfortable and cleaned daily so always pleasant. We had a balcony that looked onto the water and was pleasant to sit on and had plenty of space to hang out our swimming gear each day. The neighbourhood was quiet but had plenty of taverna options for meals in easy walking distance. You could swim right in front of the hotel although we often explored other options. We could park the car very close and it was just a short drive to Agia Marina, the main centre for the island. Leros itself is a small and lovely island which I highly recommend.

The location is great, right above the beach. Personnel very helpful and reception working all though the day so we could easily just go to them for questions. Huge public parking space right beside the appartments.
