“Absolutely wonderful outback stay!”
We loved absolutely everything! Michelle (the owner) was a delightful host and nothing was too much trouble for her. The tent is a luxurious home away from home. Michelle has thought of everything to make your stay wonderful. Lovely blankets for outside use on chilly nights and mornings, a continental breakfast pack, great mini kitchen and cooking appliances, beautiful bathroom, indoor and outdoor sitting areas, an TV (my husband was so excited to be able to have all this and watch the footy) and seriously… that view!!! The rock changing colour as the sun set was incredible. Do yourself a favour and stay here - it’s just fabulous!

“Cosy, thoughtful, warm and lovely!!”
Beautifully made up, clean, cosy and so nice to have some toast or cereal there for the morning. Beautiful view from the back of the tent! Aircon, heated blankets and a gorgeous horse to pat if you like.

“Why would you stay anywhere else”
Michelle was terrific from managing our booking to helping us load our gear to providing a vegetarian feast for our evening barbecue. The setting is tranquil and a perfect place to unwind with a glass of wine and watch the setting sun. The tents are well equipped and spacious.

“Perfect retreat for any occasion or holiday”
Loved everything. Mum and I arrived having just got off the Ghan train in Alice and picked up our hire car to drive to Uluru. Squeaky Windmill was the perfect place for us to relax before the next leg of our holiday. As soon as we got comfy we sat and had a cuppa on the deck enjoying the amazing view of the ridge and the many native birds. We had ordered supplies for a BBQ dinner which was delicious (salad, steak & sausages). Beds were very comfortable. Definitely got colder overnight but lots of extra throws/blankets and electric blankets on bed. Ample delicious continental breakfast supplies were provided. Shower was also great. Check out at 11am was perfect. I would love to visit again and see more of MacDonnell ranges. We visited Simpson's Gap which was only 10 mins drive away.

“Serenity now! What a beautiful setup Michelle has created - would love to come back!”
This was such a beautiful spot, just amazing to sit and watch the birds fly by, look at the ranges and beautiful trees and stargaze at night. The tent was very luxurious and equipped with all we needed including a great bed. The breakfast was basic but all good.
