“Perfect.”

This wonderful property exceeded all our expectations. We worried a little, based on some photos and other reviews, that the villa would be a bit basic and shabby. However, this was not the case at all. It is outstandingly beautiful from the outside and had everything we could need indoors. It was also extremely clean, all the windows had mesh netting to keep out the bugs and all the amenities required for a pleasant stay were available. True, it is not modern or contempory. However, what it lacks in state-of-the-art it abundantly makes up for in charm, beauty and a total sense of peace. The pool is not big (though we had a lot of fun in it), the fittings and features aren't the latest in fashion, and the bathrooms are simple (but more than adequate) yet the place just bewitches. We felt totally at peace, deeply content and utterly revitalised after a long, tough year at work. If that is what you want from a holiday, I doubt you'll find better in the whole of Italy. On top of all that is a host from whom you couldn't ask more. Charming, funny and entertaining, Michele's knowledge of the area, its history and its people was not only extremely helpful but made our holiday so much better than it might otherwise have been. He came to check the pool every couple of days and we had quite long chats on topics ranging from ancient prehistory, the Catalan history of Alghero, WW2, family, economics, Sardinian separatism, and of course football. Indeed I grew to think of him more as a friend than a host. Furthermore, he was very attentive to any problems and would arrive on his scooter within minutes if the need arose. If that wasn't enough, he also makes his own wine which is excellent. The house is less than 10 minutes from Alghero but once you're sitting on the terrace or by the pool, it feels like you're 50 miles away, deep in the Sardinian countryside. In short, one of the best holidays we've ever had.

“Rustic charm in a rural setting close to Alghero.”

Really nice and relaxed cottage located in a rural setting amidst Olive trees and only a short drive into Alghero. The cottage was quite rustic which added to the charm of the place. Michelle was a great host offering great advice on the area and always on hand to answer queries and offer assistance.We very much enjoyed our stay.

“Exceptional stay, but beware the mosquitos”

Beautiful cottage, well-equipped with everything you could need (actually there's so much handy stuff at times we had trouble finding the basics). We spent quite some time relaxing in the little garden and the Jacuzzi. The host, Michele, was super forthcoming and helpful. Location is a bit difficult to find, Google Maps lead us into a dead end at first, but convenient to explore Alghero and the local area around by car. Great place to stay if you want to have the option for lazy days where you barely leave the house & cook for yourself.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay in Coral Riviera. The residence is incredibly beautiful and relaxing. Our host made sure to sort everything out to our needs, gave great recommendations for activities, food & places to see. We really enjoyed our time and will definitely be coming back!
