The location was perfect for accessing walks and the doubts downs way. The place was clean and cosy and had everything we needed. It was really peaceful and relaxing.

Great location for walking direct from apartment; we didn’t use the car at all. Stunning walks onto the Downs from both sides of the Cuckmere Valley - our Springer loved the freedom to jump in every available water as well as zoom across the Downs wherever there weren’t grazing sheep and come back to a warm apartment. Excellent pubs nearby; we had lunches at Litlington and Berwick (where there’s the murals in the church by members of the Bloomsbury Group). Very friendly and helpful hosts who helped us sort out the heating as well giving advice on the less than obvious pavement route to Alfriston.

Cosy cottage feel with comfortable bed and sofa. Ideal for walkers (the clue is in the name!) Access to footpaths straight out of the door.

Position is very good as it is handy for both the village (15 min walk) and the South Downs Way. The apartment was clean and worked we for us.

The village of Alfriston is beautiful, parking at the accommodation, wifi , good shower and comfy bed. Milk in fridge and complimentary biscuits. Area great for walking.

“My second visit and probably not my last”

It is part of a large house with its own entrance. out of town, with short walk to good pub. You can walk from the house without using the car. I walked the South Downs Way, the Seven Sisters, Birling Gap and back via East Dean one day.

Clean and tidy, calm and very good shower. We enjoyed staying here. They're is a local cozy pub with good food just a few minutes walking over the footpath through the nature.

We stayed a couple of nights with our dog to walk over to the Seven Sisters Cliffs and visit Rathfinny Wine Estate. The room was really comfortable with some lovely welcoming touches. Very clean, great shower perfectly sized for what we needed. The location was fabulous. Step out of the door and straight onto a footpath to Litlington to find the long man brewery and cadence cafe. Then onto a walk down the river to the South Downs. Alfriston village had great pub restaurants for eating out.

It was perfectly located for walking with so many walks just a stones throw away. It was very close to the centre of Alfriston which has plenty of pubs and places to eat. The property is small but was perfect for our short stay. And the welcome sweets were a great surprise.
