I spent most of the time outdoors. Apartmament is on top floor, there is no elevator. Surrounding area little bit messy but charming. Apartament very basic but take is a an nice experience and your adaptation skill test. High ceilings helps to sleep deep.

“Breaking Bad”
The room was 3 metres squared and dirty. There was cigarette ash and tissue in the bed side drawer. I was desperate so had to sleep fully clothed on top of the bedding☹️

“Basic accommodation at a good location”
Close to the center of town within walking distance of Gomla and Carrefour supermarkets, Al Mazareta is basically an apartment where you can rent a room with shared basic facilities such as bathroom, toilet and kitchen. WiFi worked well also in the rooms. The apartment is on the third floor of a building on a side street. It means noise levels are moderate compared to other similar accommodation in Alexandria. The rooms at the rear are more quiet than rooms at the front. The latter have balconies though. The self check-in procedure turned out to work well. The front door of the building is almost always open. Make sure you can access internet or if offline ensure you have downloaded the check-in instructions. The apartment is cleaned every day. The manager can be reached through whatsapp until 10PM. The link works, as in case of need he usually reacts within a reasonable time period.

The best accommodation for this value if you don’t wanna share a room. Perfect location. They provide everything you need and the landlord is super helpful and kind. The pictures of the rooms, bathrooms and the kitchen are exactly like they are.

“Affordable hotel for short stay”
It's very central. Easy to find, the owner sends all information on Whatsapp about how to find the hotel. He is very welcoming and provides all info needed. The room is good for a night or two if you spend your time out of home anyways.
