Best hotel room ever - what a view! The room was large and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was great. The location, too. Super friendly staff and very clean, also, nice location for exploring beautiful Ålesund. It was also very quiet. Would definitely stay again!

“A beautiful place to stay in Alesund”
The breakfast is the best in my Norway trip so far. The location is great! The room door is not automatically locked when you close the door, you need to swipe the card again to lock it. Double security. The girl in the front desk offered hotel’s garage for my car and suggested a few free street parking place for us as well. Very helpful!

I had a very pleasant stay at Thon Hotel Ålesund. The breakfast was fantastic, with a very good selection and excellent quality. I was also upgraded for free to a room with a lovely view, which made my stay even more special. The hotel kindly agreed to early check-in, which I really appreciated. The Wi-Fi worked well, the front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the location of the hotel is excellent. The waterfront view is absolutely amazing and was one of the highlights of my stay.

Great hotel, comfy rooms, very busy buffet breakfast but beautifully stocked with lots of gluten-free options - allergens clearly marked. Pod coffee was available in the lobby, and we were able to fill our keep-cups for the next stage of our road trip before we left. Cool location on old port quarters, wished we had more time to explore on foot.

“Amazing!”
I travelled for work and took my wife and 6 month old son and the hotel was perfect. The crib was so nice and perfect, plus everywhere is very accesible with babies. The location couldnt be better, with the view and proximity to everything you need in the town center

“Nice Stay”
Great room with a view of sea. It was such a pleasant surprise to run into Yvonne at the front desk—the same Yvonne who introduces the hotel in such a humorous way on Rednote. Since we had an early flight, the staff thoughtfully arranged for breakfast to be ready before 4:30 a.m., so we could bring it to the airport. This thoughtful service left a very warm impression.

“Smart hotel, central location, great views, lovely breakfast”
The hotel is located centrally in Alesund - very convenient for all the sites and restaurants. The hotel is very smart inside. The breakfast room/restaurant has great views across the harbour. The breakfast was superb - a great choice of good food. The bed was very comfortable. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room and the room was a very good size.
