“Pleasant stay, kind owner, a relaxing experience”

A truly relaxing getaway here. Located about 15 minutes by car from the city and surrounded by nature and fields, the villa was peaceful and quiet throughout the day, which made us feel completely reset. The room was simple, clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed, with a spacious bathroom as a bonus. The owner was very welcoming, shared the history of the villa during breakfast, and gave us helpful recommendations about the area. The animals around the villa were also a lovely surprise that added charm to the experience. We would definitely recommend this place to couples or anyone looking for calmness and quietness away from the city, although travelling by car is necessary.

We didn't actually stay in this particular hotel. The hotel was hosting an event that day, the owner felt it would be too noisy for our family. So he arranged a seperate apartment in the neighbour village, which was also great. The next morning he invited us for a nice breakfast and showed us around the beautiful estate. It was very thoughtful of the owner, and we enjoyed our stay.

Lovely large room in a great setting. Very comfortable. The welcome and dinner suggestions were spot on. Breakfast is good. It is a bit out of the way, but that was part of the authenticity. Great host.great surroundings.

We were rather late arriving but Luca, the owner of this rather grand and typically Italian residence, hidden behind large electric double gates, was very forgiving, and very helpful in finding us a place to eat near by, that happened to still be open on a Monday evening. The room was comfortable with a huge, double basined bathroom, and a BATH as well as a shower, and overlooked the pleasant garden and swimming pool, which was about to be opened for the summer residents. Luca served us breakfast in the huge banqueting hall, decorated with murals, and spent time telling us something of the history of

Very nice B&B. Luca and Paola are the nicest people; they make you feel comfortable right away. The site is beautiful and we almost had the whole place for us alone, which was very nice. While Cascinagrossa, the village, is nothing special in itself, it's close to a lot of interesting places.

Honestly, I loved this place. It was really amazing. Peaceful. Relaxing. Beautiful trees. I'm learning Italian and they really put 100% effort into speaking to me in Italian. I was so happy.

What an absolutely fantastic stopover for us on our way from bern to Nice!! We Weere greed warmly by the family who spoke excellent English. The house is stunning and the rooms comfortable and well furnished. Our breakfast was lovely and served by the owner so warmly and with a really interesting history of the house too. We had a great meal in a local restaurant recommended, by the owner, also We had a great stay and would certainly return. Would thoroughly recommend La Cascina Grossa

Luca was an excellent host. He speaks good English and was helpful in arranging a reservation at a local restaurant and providing an early breakfast before I had to leave. I regret that I could not stay longer.
