“Unique atmosphere in a very nice location.”
We randomly arrived at the accommodation in the middle of the night, the host was very flexible, check-in was easy. The building itself is a 100-year old house with a unique atmosphere, no one should expect modern equipment, the rooms are simple but functional. We got hot coffee in the morning and generally had a good time. Perfect for the price/value.

Easy and smooth check in, nice Staff/owner. We as a family was very pleasantly surprised, the pictures on the website is exactly like the place is. If you are looking for the authentic old school atmosphere of a Youth Hostel, as it was intended, and the way it was in the older days, Birkegårdens Vandrehjem is the perfect location. Nice and quiet and most of all stary nights, undesturbed from the lights of a big city. Idyllic surroundings. It is very rare to find something so authentic, it seems like nothing has been changed or modified since the building was made. Everything was clean and functioning - nothing at all to complain about. And in the morning there were free coffee and tea to our disposal. Nice living room and dining area, and fully equipped kitchen. Water pressure on the bathrooms was amazing. And for an incredibly low price - all in all, it was a great stay. Definitely recommendable.
