Overview
The Merlin, an elegant 19th-century inn, is located just 500 metres from the independent shops and restaurants in affluent Alderley Edge’s village centre. A pub restaurant with a stylish chandelier made of wine glasses free private parking are available on site. Wilmslow’s town centre and rail station are less than a 5-minute drive away. Manchester Airport is less than 10 minutes’ drive from Innkeeper's Lodge Alderley Edge and scenic walks can be enjoyed just 20 minutes’ drive away in the Peak District National Park. The pub restaurant offers a wide selection of beer, wine and cocktails. You can relax in the bar or by the fireplace. The spacious and boutique rooms have a Hypnos bed with mattress topper, tea and coffee making facilities and free WiFi. All rooms also have an en suite bathroom with toiletries and a hairdryer. “Great food, room slightly lacking”
The food in the restaurant was lovely, breakfast wasn't bad, but could have been better. Bed was lovely and comfy. Wouldn't have done well with cleanliness and facilities on 4 in a bed.

“Unsatisfactory”
Speaker for outside bar area was outside our room,played all night.Really disruptive when you want peace Traffic noise awful Bfast awful - French Toast wasn't anything like French Toast,Yogurt was purple and poured over the whole slice of toast.

“Location, quality, price - all good”
Best value hotel in the area, but with excellent quality. Rooms were massive and very clean. Staff were attentive and genuinely interesting to talk to. Location good for Alderley Edge and Wilmslow. Very good breakfast.

The room was very modern and clean! The staff were all vert friendly and helpful! Our flight had been delayed into Manchester therefore we were late for check in, however we rung the hotel and they let us in with no issues.

Been there before - always a good experience Good food, friendly staff and a great spot from one of them on an allergen form an unexpected source (pea protein in a burger bun) - so saved me some discomfort Great place to stay if your traveling Alderley Edge or Wilmslow direction

“Excellent place to stay.”
Great convenient location for our visit. Plenty of parking. Staff are all welcoming and friendly. Breakfast, dinner and bar service excellent. Room was spacious, warm and very comfortable. Even though The Merlin is on the main road there is no discernible road noise in the bed room meaning a good nights sleep was enjoyed.
