The whole place was fantastic,great pool great restaurant great staff. One lady even helped me with my satnav direction.Thank you very much to that lady..oh bike parking although in the main area is perfectly safe.

“A visit to Vila Vicosa and wonderful stay in a convent”

It's a converted convent in a vast rural estate privately owned. 44 rooms in towns, converted from monks' rooms, modernised well. Considering the thick walls, WiFi reception was excellent, very comfortable beds, quality linen, large bathrooms with big walk-in showers, plenty of hooks in the bathroom. Aircon worked well to keep the rooms dry. There are 2 swimming pools but unfortunately it was closed for the winter. Remote location in beautiful country but only 10mins drive into Estremoz where there's good choice of restaurants and Saturday morning markets. Several common rooms with log burning fireplaces was very inviting for November. Also a games room. The hotel buffet breakfast was very good with fresh eggs, bacon, selection of breads, yogurts, good coffee etc. Dining room also had a good dinner menu. The convent has its own chapel and cloisters, great for weddings and functions. Plenty of onsite secure parking and bedside chargers.

The location was perfect, remote enough for it to be fully peaceful but also close to some beautiful cities, sights, restaurants and activities for anyone looking to expand their stay beyond the facilities . The hotel itself is beautiful and has all the commodities for a wonderful family holiday with ease, comfort and simplicity. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was generally very good and the whole experience was so great we are sure to come again! Thank you

Everything was great. Very good hotel, well maintained with excellent facilities, great staff and very comfortable. Food was good and the two pools made it great to avoid crowds.

I love the location, this wasn't the first time I was there, peaceful spot, two great pools, perfect for resting, helpful and nice staff, we got upgraded to a suite and the AC was already on when we entered the room, given it was hot outside this extra attention was very welcoming.

Beautiful property . Great for walks and exploring the region. Magnificent building and history.

Amazing interior -such a unique space- wonderful views, and peace and quiet, you feel totally surrounded by nature and calm. Above and beyond service from hotel staff.

We stayed on a secondary building which was not the ideal. There was a bit of humidity, but all good in general.
