“Lovely casa rural on the Camino, CHARMING!”
This is an absolutely beautiful little "casa rural," or "country house" located along the Camino de Santiago in Extremadura, along the Portuguese border. Unassuming from the outside, the inside is rural and charming, delightful in many small details that have been carefully organized and arranged. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable while remaining humble and true to its rural roots. Our host was helpful and kind, a perfect complement to this wonderful place. The breakfast was simple and ample, with good variety. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

“Great place to stop”
Great communication with the owner, who was very informative & friendly. Our room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Excellent value. If, like us, your driving south off the Santander ferry, this is the perfect stop over. Great location not far from the motorway. Quiet, friendly village with a few bars & restaurants. We'll defiantly stay again.

A very well placed gem at the small town of Aldeanueva del Camino. Perfect location for the Camino, facilities at top level and the attention to detail from the host, Sydney, is second to none. From all my stays across Spain, this is by far my favorite!

“Rural oasis in the Spanish mountains”
Stay here! We did a roadtrip around Extramadura and this was by far our favourite place. Sydney is super friendly, the town has a couple cool bars, and people are welcoming. The room had an insane view and was super comfy, balconies both sides. It’s a proper quiet rural oasis in the Sierra De Grados!

“Relaxing stay in a great location.”
The location is covenient, only a short distance from the Autovia and the village has good options for eating and drinking. We were made really welcome, the hotel was cool and relaxing after a long drive.

Beautifully renovated old house in centre of town. Very good self serve breakfast, can have any time which is great for walking the Via de la Plata, you can even make a take away lunch

“Excellent place to break a long journey or spend two or three days.”
It’s a really nicely done up old house in the centre of the village. The room we had is spacious and has a very nice little terrace. The breakfast was excellent. There isn’t much in the village but there are some nice walks and we had an excellent meal in Casa Sabas nearby. Good food at very economical prices.

Our host Sydney was very kind and accommodating. Our room had a lovely balcony from which we could look out to the mountains. Such a beautiful view. The room was quiet and we slept well there.
