Excellent location, friendly, great facilities and pool

Check-in was over an hour late, because the room wasnt clean and they didn't even know what time the room would be available. They made us wait and didn't even offer a complimentary drink for the situation. Very unfriendly.

Absolutely wonderful, location was amazing

The swimming pool is lovely and the breakfast was fresh and varied.

Very comfortable room with a nice little balcony, and everything spotlessly clean. A good swimming pool which is a reasonable length. A superb breakfast with a lot of home made products and other local produce, for €10pp. A reasonable lunch menu.

Exceptionnel hôtel, very nice and helpful personnel, outstanding breakfast and the views are amazing. The village is very quiet, with a few good restaurants. If you want a quiet place to relax, this is it!

Location safe and secure. Very quite the surrounding area. Lovely for switching off time. Staff very attentive and friendly. Lovely views of the river from the restaurant balcony. Restaurant menu selection very magnificent. Breakfast had a wide variety of options.

This is the only obvious choice of accommodation in Alcoutim, and it's great value overall. I would definitely stay again if in the area. It's in a scenic, quiet location overlooking the river and Spain on the far side, which one views from the restaurant. Alcoutim town itself is pleasant to walk around. The public areas of the hotel and the rooms are all decorated very nicely. There's a lovely big bath in the bathroom. The breakfast is fantastic and excellent value, with nicely cooked items, delicious fresh fruit salad and a great selection of good, freshly baked breads and croissants. Evening food is available, though it is essentially a choice of salads, toasted sandwiches, and burgers, with a very small choice of desserts. The first night I had a very good salad, the second night was a burger which was just okay with soggy fries. Overall the staff were pleasant and friendly, though one young woman in the restaurant looked at me like I had two heads when I asked whether the restaurant was actually open for evening food and went to fetch somebody who spoke more English... though she was more pleasant once I had sat at a table later on and I had spoken a bit of Portuguese to order things. Communication in advance of my arrival was very good.

Great value hotel with a fabulous view over the Guadiana. The food is also good value and the hotel is in a great location in Alcoutim with good car parking availability.

Everything was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly. It was peaceful and in a good location. The breakfast was very good. Parking is provided. I have stayed there a few times before and I am always satisfied, and I will happily stay there again.
