This hotel was fully renovated in 2016 and reopened with a Boutique hotel concept. It is located in Olhos D'Água in the Albufeira region. Velamar Boutique Hotel - Adults Friendly features lavish amenities, including an outdoor pool surrounded by sun loungers and parasols. Each guestroom is elegantly furnished and has a luxury bathroom. A balcony with views over the tranquil fishing village or the Atlantic Ocean is featured in some of the bright, air-conditioned rooms. “Excellent breakfast venue and spread, friendly staff, comfortable rooms, delightful balconies”
Friendly staff. Comfortable rooms with lovely views and balconies. It's super close to a great little affordable fish restaurant (O cantinho). The breakfast room is beautiful and the breakfast was outstanding. It was March so we didn't visit the pool area, so can't comment on that. I was travelling with my elderly parents, so I don't know if they would have minded little kids or not, we certainly found it calm and relaxing.

It was a perfect stay. Close to beaches, restaurants and amenities. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Great value for money. Beautiful facilities. Excellent breakfast buffet and the food was delicious! We had a performance the first night of tradition Portuguese music. It was superb!

Lovely clean and comfortable hotel without all the whistles and bells. Breakfast was amazing, especially the fresh fruit, honeycomb and complementary bucks fizz. The dining area on the top floor with its open air balcony was a lovely place to start the day. We stayed the last week in April and the price was really good. Staff even recommended best places to eat nearby and pointed us in the direction of Lisa's bar for a quiet drink.

Everything. Wonderful staff. Best I've ever encountered and I travel a lot. Loved the location, lots of lovely restaurants, bars, next to the hotel. 4 euro bolt ride to old town. Great breakfast. I'll be back soon. It was so good I changed flight and stayed another 4 days.

“Perfect comfortable short break in Olhos.”
The hotel was exceptional and really exceeded our expectations. Everywhere was immaculately tidy and each and every member of staff polite and extremely helpful. I’ll definitely be back and would recommend this hotel to anyone. 👍🏼

“Hidden gem!!”
Really clean, friendly staff, great location! Overall couldn’t fault anything at all. Really good value for money too. The outside doesn’t look like much, however don’t let this deceive you. The inside is beautiful and coming back to a fresh smelling room each day was great. All the staff were really nice. Would definitely recommend and will definitely come back!

“A fabulous hotel in a great location.”
This is a lovely hotel. The rooms are well appointed and the bed is so comfortable. Staff are fabulous, warm, friendly and always ready to help. The breakfast buffet is exceptional, with so much choice. All areas are kept spotlessly clean and tidy, with a great outside space/pool area. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
