Overview
Hotel Kaliakra Mare in Albena, the ex Dobrotitsa Hotel, is only separated by the promenade from the kilometer-long sandy beach. This popular beach hotel was renovated in winter 2017-18 and has 148 rooms on 4 floors, lobby with reception, lobby bar, hotel restaurant with terrace and swimming pool with pool bar. 1 umbrella and 2 sun loungers per room by the pool are included in the price. 1 umbrella and 2 sun loungers per room on the beach starting from the 3rd line from the sea are offered for in the price. All bright and modern furnished rooms have a bathroom with a shower, a balcony, a telephone, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a minibar, a safe and air conditioning. Internet in the lobby, the restaurant and by the pool is free of charge. 2 lifts are available. The hotel is Ultra all inclusive with with breakfast, late breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner buffet and midnight snack. Thematic evenings with Bulgarian national cuisine and seafood and barbecue for dinner 3 times per week in July and August. Snacks, dessert, fruit, ice cream on the terrace of the restaurant are served from 15: 00 until 17:00 o'clock. Bulgarian alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, wine and beer on tap, coffee and tea are served in the lobby bar an pool bar. An animation team provides for good mood 6 days a week, during the day with sports activities and entertainment games, in the evening with bingo, shows, disco, etc. For the little ones a pool with splash castle is available and a children playground. In July and August the mini club also opens. On site parking is possible at a surcharge. The pedestrian area with its souvenir shops, artisans and restaurants can be reached within a 5-minute walk. There are sports and entertainment facilities, such as tennis courts and mini golf nearby.

The hotel is located right on the beachfront. It has been recently renovated and is very clean and comfortable. Our room was spacious enough for two people, with fresh white sheets and towels that were changed daily. From the terrace, we had an amazing view of the sea and were able to enjoy the sunrise every morning. The staff were very friendly and always ready to help. The food was also delicious and varied.

Proximity to the beach. 3/5 day we stayed had quite a varied serving. For the other days there was a generous salad bar where you could pick around 20-25(rough estimation) from a round shaped salad island. I must mention we are not the ideal customers - we are not very picky. There were some dishes that we could not understand: boiled corn seeds mixed with (too much) oil, but we had others we could choose from. Unclear why the yogurt bowl always had to have a very bright colored gue on it... (Probably e gem of some sort). Albena sand. Guys at the pool bar always friendly and helpful. Tattooed guy in the hotel bar - also helpful and nice. Manager of the hotel and some trainees were quite reactive to our questions/complaints.

Great location. Great city. Lot of parking places. Lot of sunbeds. Plenty of bars, well stocked. Good bartenders. Good food. Great view from the room. Free seif in the room. Big bathroom. Plenty of towels. Good mattress, good pillows. Plenty of pillows. Balcony table and chairs. Working refrigerator. Complimentary beer and juice.

We are a family that has been spending their holidays at the sea in Albena for 10 years at the KALIAKRA MARE (DOBROTITSA) hotel. Not for nothing, this is the hotel where, apart from the favorable location (near the sea), we also have an exemplary welcome from the staff, from the manager to the auxiliary staff, and with the "all inclusive" option we have all the culinary pleasures both general as well as specific local ones. And until now, we had the pleasure of meeting the hotel manager, through the friendly reception of my family, but this year, through an unfortunate event (accident), I also had the help of the hotel, regarding my preparation for the hospital, for which I thank.
