The house was full of character charm with modern amenities and a stunning garden. The location central to downtown Albany was perfect for strolls to the shops and harbour area. The children in our group particularly enjoyed visiting the chickens each day. The hosts were friendly and contacted us before the stay to ensure we had all the information we needed for a seamless check in.

“Perfect for a weekend (or longer) with friends!”

This lovely cottage was perfect for our group of six friends. It was quiet, relaxing, cosy and only a 5 minute walk to the main street of Albany. We loved the little extras that were supplied (fresh eggs, bread and more), and only wish we could have stayed longer. Our host Lou was quick to reply to any queries we had, and she also met us there on arrival to give us some details. We’ll be back!

Super handy location close to everything, comfortable bed and nice linen, clean and tidy and provisioned with everything you could possibly need. Incredible fresh baked bread, homemade jam, fig paste, fresh local milk and eggs from the chickens out the back!❤️

Everything! We loved our stay. The private area upstairs the huge bath and of course the chickens. Lots of room and space for our large family of 8.

It was beautifully renovated and maintained. Lovely light filled and with every amenity . The kitchen was fully stocked and the hosts left lovely things in the kitchen for us. The chickens in the back yard were delightful .

Very cosy and the host was super attentive. Actively in communication on arrival time so they could set up the fireplace. Very thoughtful as it is winter. It was also very heartwarming to receive lots of goodies from the host making us feel comfortable and well just like home.

We loved the little extra goodies that the host provided, fresh eggs, bread, cheese, wine, etc. These were all from local suppliers!! The house had everything you needed, and the bathtub was fantastic. The girls (chickens) were very friendly and added to the experience. The location was great, close to town, local attractions, restaurants, and shopping. We would have loved a bigger TV for those quiet, rainy nights in by the fire. Thank you for having us.
