If I have to review the human experience I should give a 10 because staying here means that you will meet Sylvia, a beautiful lady that will welcome you with a big huge smile and will treat you like family. But if you stay here you have to be also aware that the apartment has never been renovated since it's first day and I could be ok with that: I don't care about old dusty furniture or a crumbling kitchen. My problem has been the bathroom: it's really horrible!! rusty pipes, falling ceiling, cold water for many hours of the day and I'm sorry to say this but it really looked bad. What I didn't like most is that when you book the apartment someone in a perfect English will write you, but then when you will arrive Sylvia only speaks Armenian and russian and everything gets complicated and you need time and patience to understand how the apartment works. She told us something about the water that of course we didn't understand, she was pointing 5 with her hand and so we thought: ok, maybe we have to let water run for 5 minutes to have hot water, but that didn't work. We called Sylvia, who lives downstairs, and then we have understood that hot water is only after 5 pm and early in the morning? We are still not sure! I know that Sylvia is not responsible for this, but if there is a daily routine with water what I suggest to the owner is to inform the people. Just prepare a paper, a leaflet in English with all these kind of info! Sylvia will also offer you to cook you dinner: it took us 30 minutes to understand it! If we had something written it would have been so much easier and you avoid all kinds of misunderstanding! One last point: staying here is like sharing an apartment with your grandma: forget your privacy! It can be a beautiful, amazing experience but you have to be aware of this! And be prepared for the bathroom!!!

Beautiful flat, with absolutely wonderful Ms. Silva! She showed us the appartment, prepared a delicious breakfast and helped us with fixing our clothes. If you look for an authentic accommodation, you should go there!

Silva was a great host, a lovely place to stay! Wish I could have stayed longer :)

Old apartment block that looks ugly from outside but inside is very comfortable,alot of space inside,very clean and very good communication with owner. Sanahin monastery 10minute walk away.

Very nice comfortable flat, everything was OK, quiet. Sylvia is a lovely person and a perfect cook. She prepared us very tasteful delicious traditional food.

Complete apartment with all you need

A very spacious apartment. Wifi is surprisingly very fast. Sylvia is a very nice and helpful woman who treated us with doughnuts. In correspondence the host is super-well-mannered.

Big apartment, nice balkony, good kitchen, monastery in walking distance, hikes and supermarkets in walking distance. Silvia had a lot of patience in communicating with us using google translator. Thanks a lot fof that. The communication with the owner was also working very fast and reliable from the very first minute.

The host was extremely helpful and responsive. A gem. A home away from home.
