We loved this hotel. The staff were extremely helpful, the facilities were excellent. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel is situated in the ancient town of Alange with its Roman baths and is off the foreign tourist main track. It was the Easter weekend and the hotel was full of mainly Spanish people enjoying the Spar facilities. We felt that prices were very reasonable in the bar and restaurant and we had the delicious ‘meal of the day’ with 3 courses plus wine and water for 22 Euro per person. Garage parking is also available at a reasonable 8 euro per night. Free parking is also available on quiet streets outside the hotel.

“Grand Hotel in appearance, not so much in reality.”

First impression on entering the hotel is the style of the Grand Hotel, so quite impressive (although it's quite modern.) the room was comfortable with good storage. The breakfast was quite good with reasonable choice. Parking was easy and free in the public parking opposite (mid-September) The chairs in the central patio area were comfortable.

“Enchanting Roman spa”

The spa is a UNESCO world heritage site since the Roman baths were discovered. And it is so worth the visit! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, really lovely people.

A beautiful building, lovely staff and ambiance,

We had lunch in the restaurant on the day of our arrival. It was disgusting! We had to send it back uneaten. The “leg” of lamb was served up as chunks of meat like tinned dog food. I ate my salmon tartare but I didn’t like it at all. The breakfast was ok but you had to pay extra for the fresh orange juice! The restaurant overlooked an abandoned building site, so we asked for a table away from the window and the waitress only reluctantly allowed us to take another table. The room was a bit Spartan but the beds were big and comfortable and we slept very well. The swimming pool was too small and too full of guests to be able to swim.

Amazing building! Room was comfortable and well-appointed. Hotel private parking was good, though expensive. Breakfast was comprehensive and good. Check-in and check-out were easy and friendly.

The hotel is really nice and clean. Beautiful and stylish hotel, you can feel the luxurious feeling. The meals were really good and with variety. The breakfast buffet was really nice and completed. The rooms were impressive, plenty of space, nice bathrooms, extraordinary shower. The beds were really comfy , helping to relax. All the staff was friendly, professional and helpful.

A stunningly beautiful hotel with friendly staff, food was ok. The waitress Luisa, was fantastic, spoke a little English and was lovely, the bar staff too were excellent

“One night stay”

Grand hotel with excellent grounds and facilities for visitor use. Good car park at only €5 a night in a large secure underground car park. If you don’t want to use that plenty of spare land and roadside parking for free but not as secure. A very quiet and peaceful location 10 minutes off the motorway. An oasis of calm. I would stay again but would probably not use the dining room other than for breakfast. Don’t forget to take your bathing costumes. Our room was excellent and even with a street view very quiet. Great walk-in shower. Only Spanish tv but good WiFi connection.
