Not sure where to start actually - a sublime location, stunning view, more than excellent facilities for kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom, washroom, separate TV room, and many overly cozy corners to chill, read, talk, etc, from our entire Norway trip we were truly most blown away by this one. 1000% holiday vibes.

Amazing Place and Host

“Winter wonderland”

Where to start… this place is amazing. The cabin is situated on the hills outside of Ål facing the south. When the sun comes up you will get plenty of sunlight. The view from the cabin is unmatched, especially during sunrise and sunset. There are a few cabins nearby but they were empty during our stay which meant plenty of privacy and solitude. The cabin is fully equipped with everything that you can expect. Due to a storm at sea our boat arrived way later than expected which meant that we arrived past midnight. The owner was waiting down in the village and guided us up the mountain to the cabin where a warm house with a burning fire was waiting. Can’t thank him enough. We had plenty of fun with the sledges on the roads near the cabin. Geilo is a 35min drive. You can charge your EV at the house. The village itself has plenty of (Tesla) superchargers. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who would like to visit Norway during winter!

“Modern tranquility”

Everything was amazing! It is a very spacious cabin with a fully equipped kitchen and great lounge areas both indoors and outdoors. We were 5 people and it fit us very well. The cabin had very comfortable beds and everything was high quality and very cozy. The hosts did an amazing job with preparing all the bedding, setting up a fireplace, and welcoming us with freshly baked bread - this is way above the “typical Norwegian cabin” experience. We were lucky with the weather - worth mentioning the cabin is on the sunny side with sunrise and sunset directly seen from the panoramic windows/terrace. Totally recommended and an amazing value for money.

A beautiful cabin in beautiful surroundings. We had a wonderful stay here, the host was very helpful and quick to respond to our inquiries. The cabin exceeded all expectations, and the hikes we went on in the nearby mountains were awesome. Definitely a place I would recommend to others going to the same area, or for people looking for a nice getaway in the mountains. Would love to come back here soon!
