“If you don’t stay there during your visit to Jabal Akhdar you have missed a lot”
Everything from the moment you reach the village you know you made the best decision to stay here. Location is mind blowing and even much more beautiful than pictures. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that we were having the best time possible.

“Beautiful stay with great views”
Such a lovely place. The restoration and design are done with real care — rooms were tastefully decorated and very comfortable throughout. The terrace view is a highlight, especially at sunset. The buffet dinner was also excellent — a great spread and very delicious. Warm hosts and a great location to top it all off. Would highly recommend.

“Fantastic hotel. A "must stay sort of place”
Stunning hotel on the edge of the mountains. Beautiful views from the outside terrace. Really friendly staff who were very welcoming throughout. Dinner and breakfast prepared by someone in the village and the food was excellent.

“Very traditional house, comfortable, stunning views, good walk.”
Unique, traditional property which was tastefully decorated. Stunning view over the valley and at the start of the three villages walk. Good dinner included, nice nuts and fruits left in the room and decent breakfast, although not amazing.

“A lovely hotel in beautiful location, but likely to be really great when the area is fully restored”
This hotel is set - as the name suggest - on the edge of a mountain - the hanging terraces are the restored terraces below. It is a beautiful location. Our room and bed were comfy and 'quirky' - being made of old local stone. The view from our room was incredible, though the room itself is quite dark.

“Amazing - book it now!”
What an experience and stay! Don’t hesitate, book it now! Part of me does not want to write a review so it does not become too popular, but they deserve all the business. The best stay we had in Oman - a stunning location and views, the authentic rooms and experience- so cosy and comfortable. Delicious food for breakfast and dinner, run by a local family just at the start of the 3 villages hike and around the corner from the Anantara. We were so sad to leave and will tell all our friends about this place.

Lovely balance between authentic to tradition and still very comfortable. The food was well prepared & felt homemade. Beautiful views from the location as well as the coffee place 5 minutes away at the parking.
