Lovely spacious room perfectly located in jebel shams. The water heating in the bathroom was perfect and in general had a very comfortable stay. The staff were also very friendly.

“Not ready for guests.. not a good experience .”

Well after we drove 4 hrs up the mountain, they didnr have my reservation so we left. No heater in the rooms despite the 2C temps .the staff member did not speak English or Arabic. So.we left. About a few hours later, another person calls us to complain that we left..we told them they didn't even have a reservation for us when though we showed them the booking we had with you. So,.not happy with them. I don't think they are ready for guests at the moment. Maybe they will do better in the future.

Sufficient stay as a base to explore the amazing jebel shams. The rooms are very large. Great balcony with good view.

Simple, early check in, room looked lovely, good location. We enjoyed seeing the sunset from the hill behind the property.

Great location, if you are planning to go for a hike or just looking for a really quiet place.

You will probably be staying here because you are visiting Jabal Shams. By all accounts, this place won't have you running for the hills, but it's quite bare bones and way overpriced for what it is. I'll start with the good because it's a sheltered room close to the Balcony Hike, which is likely the only reason to stay here. For those wondering about the road, you can absolutely do it without 4x4. We did it just fine. You will be going slower than the 4x4 vehicles, but there is nothing that should stop you from taking a regular sedan on the road. It's 10 km of corrugated dirt road, followed by about 2 km of paved road where a bunch of hotel (including this one) are located, then another 2 km of unpaved road to the balcony hike. All doable by car. As for the hotel, the rooms are sizeable and they are great to be able to come back and shower post hike. The room was also reasonably clean though our feet got quite dirty from walking around the room. The man overseeing it was also pleasant and seemed friendly when checking us in.

Very close to the viewpoint and the start of the balcony walk. Everything you need for a one night stay over. Friendly host. Fixed another room foor us, because the boiler was broken. Nice guy. First place on our tour through Oman, with cosy lighting. 😃

This place is a gem! The rooms are spacious and the views are amazing. Plus the owners sorted out a lift for us at very last minute. We had an amazing stay!

Great location. New hotel that has been tastefully and well furnished. You can reach the hotel and the start of the Balcony Trail (3km further along) in a 2wd drive car (in dry conditions).

The location was great for the balcony walk. The outdoor balcony area was nice. We ate dinner at Sam's resort and brought our own food for breakfast and lunch. There is a small fridge in each room.
