I had a wonderful stay at Guesthouse Pétursborg! The location is fantastic—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. A huge plus for dog owners is the nearby off-leash dog park; it was so great to be able to bring my dog along. The hot tub was a perfect way to relax, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay.

The only think we liked about this property was the bed.

I loved the location and that I could take my dog with me and the it was close to a dog park where I could let my dog run free. The staff was friendly and helpful. Will recommend this place and go again.

Quiet location, cosy little cabin. The little kitchen was surprisingly well equipped. Great place to see the northern lights on a clear night, and you can ask to use the hot tub, too. Most importantly, our cat really enjoyed the stay too and we're extra happy pets were welcome.

Everything was perfect. Very comfortably cabin in a quiet rural area but just 10 minutes outside Akureyri

“Good stay in the outskirts of Akureyri”

Staff: They were helpful and prompt to answer any questions that I addressed. Location: It is located outside Akureyri and it was perfect due to its remoteness. Room: The room is actually inside a separate cabin which was great as there were no noises from any neighbours whatsoever. The beds were comfortable. It was very spacious and cozy. Bathroom: It was big enough for all the basic needs. The toilet flushed properly and there was always hot water.

The guesthouse was close to Akureyri (8 - 10 minute) drive. The cottage was clean and easy checkin checkout instructions, in our checkout it was nice that we saw the farm chicken. Great experience overall and would definitely recommend.

Place and it was pease and quiet

I loved the surrounding and my dog did to! It was very nice and calming nature all around. I would recommend to everyone travelling with their fury friends!

Location, size of the cabin. Well organised. Definitely staying again.

The host was very kind and the place is quiet and comfortable and with a nice view. You are in the nature but really close to Akureyri.

“Should have stayed longer”

Stayed for only one night, would have loved to stay longer! So cozy and comfortable and the location fantastic. The house had everything we needed and we were able to cook in the shared kitchen. Loved it when the chickens came on their morning walk to say hello to us 😁

Cosy little cabin with everything you need- coffee, Tea in the room, calm area, possible to sit outside, also small kitchen available, we did not need it. Instructions sent in message, no problem with check in

The animals and the location

Great quiet location! And lovely comfortable room. Things were clean and tidy. Nice and warm with a little shower and kettle and coffee machine in the room. There are washing facilities if you need them, just ask. Nice pretty horses on the property. Comfortable beds and a good night's sleep.

The Cabin style accomodation was really nice. The communication was all smooth, the self checkin and the self checkout happened all smoothely... The location seemed great but we didnt have enough time to explore the area near the lake or the common spaces with the kitchen

The room is very cosy and of good size
