Great host, good communication. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The place was quiet and relaxing. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a good, easy time.

This place is a little bit outside the center of Akumal, but that’s exactly what makes it so special. It feels like a hidden jungle escape, very peaceful and full of charm. The room is spacious and well equipped, with a kitchen that has everything you need and a good-sized bathroom. There’s parking available, dogs are welcome, and the property itself is beautiful, with two pools and a really relaxing atmosphere. But what truly makes this place stand out is the owners, they are incredibly kind and welcoming! I stayed four nights and honestly didn’t want to leave. I would 100% recommend this place.

We absolutely loved our stay at Cmap Akumal. The owners are incredibly kind, pleasant, and always willing to help with anything we needed right from the moment of booking. They showed great goodwill in fixing a mistake I made with the reservation, and when the mistake was on their side, they were equally humble and proactive in finding a solution. The cabana is surrounded by nature in a calm, quiet, and truly bucolic setting. The accommodation is simple, but it has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We especially loved spending time relaxing by the pool after the beach, it was the perfect balance of rest and fun. We are very grateful for the warm hospitality and will definitely be coming back!

“Home away from home!”

What a truly wonderful experience we had here! The owners, Cote and John, could not have done more for us, going above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed - including driving us into town to a supermarket. They were both so generous and kind. The home is comfortable, spacious and clean. We cannot fault it!!

Unfortunately our whole family was sick during the stay. It was the best place to be sick, since we had everything we needed and the owners were very helpful and friendly.

“Lovely bungalow in beautiful setting”

A well appointed and comfortable bungalow in a beautiful jungle setting. We arrived late after a long day at xcaret and John met up and helped us to our bungalow. The beds were super comfortable and aircon good. Little touches like a jar of ground coffee make all the difference. Lovely pool and lots of wildlife, foxes, iguanas, monkeys and cute cat and dog. We would have stayed here longer if we could plan again and use it as a base to visit coba, Akumal, and other attractions. We used it as an affordable base to visit xcaret. A really lovely stay and would highly recommend.

My son and I loved everything about this place! Very clean, excellent wifi, the pools were fabulous, very tranquil jungle vibes. The owners and staff went above and beyond for us, and my son even cried when we left. We are three days into a different place in a new part of Mexico, and he's still asking to go back to see Dana and John. We will be back. We miss you already.

“Great family friendly stay in pitoresque jungle setting”

a great place for us with the little kids to settle in and adjust after a long flight and jet lag. Super kid friendly, with a little kitchen to play with, kids toys, kids accessoires (bath tub, toilet seat). Very friendly staff and you see the owners put a lot of love into it. We even got Easter eggs and some fresh leftover pasta salad on arrival. Great list of recommendations, and the pools are very well maintained in a pretty jungle setting. We loved being away from the crowds of Tulum and Playa and close distance to several beach clubs and restaurants.

The host went out of her way to make us feel welcome, provide us with information and answer any questions we had. She made it a point to meet us during the stay and organized for a cleaning crew to stop by the room twice during our stay, which was very helpful.
