Beautiful views, loved the surrounding trees bush with kereru and piwakawaka joining us when in the spa 🥰 such a cool quirky house with so many interesting knick knacks and art , very relaxing. Very well equipped kitchen and surprised to find the games room with the nostalgic games machines and pool table. Had a perfect couple of days, will come back to visit the Giants House soon ! Highly recommended 💖

It was a 10 minute walk to town right next to The Giants House The decor was interesting- retro furniture and bric a brac.

“The perfect place to unwind and enjoy Akaroa.”

We had an outstanding stay at this beautiful home. The decor was so thoughtfully personalised, making it feel like a true home away from home. Everything was well organised, with clear instructions for all appliances, including the spa, and helpful notes on where to find everything within the house. The property itself was perfectly positioned—right next to the Giant’s House, which was fascinating to look out on from the window, yet surprisingly peaceful with no disturbance from visitors. The sea views from both decks were stunning, and the tranquil garden setting made it the perfect spot to relax. There’s really nothing to note as a dislike—only that if you’re not a confident driver, it’s best to park on the road or grass verge, as entering and exiting the carport requires a carefully navigated three-point turn at minimum. Communication from the host was excellent, especially when we realised we’d left something behind—they were so helpful in arranging its return. The location was ideal—not directly in the village centre, but just an easy walk away. We absolutely loved our stay and will most definitely choose this as our preferred accommodation when we return to Akaroa.

The place is just heaven. The view from the deck and the pool is breathtaking. We also loved the interior, all the details matching together. It’s clear the place is created and decorated with big love. For those loving vintage games and pool: there’s a game room with direct access to the pool.
