Very nice place to stay in the Ait Boukmez. The owners were super helpful and hospitable, we felt very welcomed! The breakfast and the food we got was amazing and we were equipped with a heater in the room and a fireplace in the dining room which was really nice in the cold evenings. The surroundings are beautiful for hikes as well! Would absolutely recommend!

We loved everything about our stay at the Maison D’hôtes Dar Afra. The place is perfectly located in the valley next to apple tree plantations and offers endless opportunities for day hikes. The food, scenery and hospitality were amazing - to the point where we ended up staying much longer than originally planned. Abdullah was the perfect host and guide, and introduced us to the culture and language of the Berber people. We hope to be back one day. ❤️

“A memorable stay”

We were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality - our 3 nights at Dar Afra were a highlight of our stay in Morocco. This is a traditional-style house in a stunning location, and Abdullah and Abdul went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The food was delicious (and plentiful!). Abdullah made sure we had everything we needed and arranged our onward travel. Abdul took us out for really enjoyable and interesting day walks (with his family donkey).

Wonderful guesthouse with beautiful rooms and garden, nice food and very friendly and kind staff. We can only recommend staying at Dar Afra for a relaxing stay in Ait Bougmez. Additionally, Abdou will provide you with everything you need to know about the surrounding mountain ranges.

The property and landscape were beautiful. The staff were kind and cooked the freshest and best meals. The bed was comfortable and we slept like babies. We will never forget our stay at Dar Afra and thank Abdoullah and all the team for their warmth and hospitality.

Our host was the kindest man. He served us mint tea every time we came back to the house plus at meal times and in the afternoon in the garden. The meals were excellent. We really enjoyed our stay.

Dar Afra is a very beautiful accommodation in a quiet and peaceful location. We felt very comfortable and at home there. The host Abu was very hospitable and made us amazing breakfast and many different teas with herbs from the garden. In the evenings, we hang out near the fireplace, and one night even got to attend a concert of traveling musicians.

Considering the location you are in, this is a great place. Abdallah is such a nice fellow - trying his utmost to make your stay comfortable. The place is simple, but very clean, nice beds, good hot shower and yummy food. The location is superb - having breakfast in the garden was a real treat. We loved the place and recommend it wholeheartedly.
