Amazing Kasbah, great people and beautiful interior

“Fantastic stay in a traditional old Kasbah with breathtaking views and amazing hosts!”

Yasim and his father Mohamed are amazing hosts- truly wonderful, hospitable people. Both are incredibly thoughtful and attentive without being overly involved, plus Yasim speaks perfect English too. The food was the best we ate in all of Morocco, and was served in a beautiful, cosy traditional salon. The views from the terrace and from our double room next to it were completely breathtaking. The rooms are in the traditional Kasbah which is such an awesome experience, and with the cosy blankets and the little heater we weren't too cold. The 4.5 hour hike Yasim suggested started from right outside the door and was absolutely spectacular (though the trail is not very obvious at times so I recommend downloading the free Gaia GPS app to navigate offline). We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back. Highly highly recommended!

“Authentic, beautiful, magical escape!”

This was a truly authentic berber kasbah (400 years old) in a fantastic location with beautiful views from the terrace. Dinner was really good!

The atmosphere was so welcoming. We came a little bit late but that wasn't a problem at all. We even got a really nice Berber salad for dinner. We would love to come back and stay a little bit longer.

We had a wonderful stay. The gentleman who took care of us was incredibly kind, attentive and made us feel very welcome throughout our visit. His hospitality really made the experience special. Without doubt one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed at. It is my second time in the kasbah of Lalla Zahra and her family. I'm in love with this place and everything about it so I will definitely choose it again for my next visit to Morocco!

“Fabulous traditional building with lovely staff!”

Great location, right on the route for the main walk/hike in the area. Excellent hospitality, good vibes and friendly place to stay. Cosy bedroom and tasty Moroccan breakfast. We were even able to do a load of washing! Thanks for having us!

“Truly authentic stay”

Located in the old village this is a very authentic kasbah with super friendly staff. A very nice hike to the Todra Gorge leaves directly from the kasbah.

Our quick stay was perfect. Even if we have some troubles to get here, the staff was very nice and helped us to reach the place. They prepared us very delicious meal, even if we got a little late. Rooms were small but clean and comfortable and there were fans in the rooms.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The place was magnificent in every way — the hospitality was warm and welcoming, the location was perfect for exploring the area, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. We felt truly cared for throughout our visit. Highly recommended!

“It was a delight to spend one night in this family owned B&B (Kasbah) near the Todra Gorge”

The family owning this B&B are really nice and treated us like family. The dinner menu was made to order all from scratch and on demand. It was a very fair price for the dinner and it was the best food we had in all our stay in Morocco and we even stayed in 5 star hotels. But we really wanted to experience the traditional Moroccan family home and it did not disappoint us. The breakfast was also superb. Fresh baked bread, butter and jam were delightfully served in mini tagine pots. They also prepared omelettes for us.

“Amazing stay in a traditional home”

Amazing place - built in the traditional manner, which you access by crossing the river on a (securely fastened) plank! Over the river are gardens which in the evening were filled with birdsong, including nightingales. Family run place, who were very accommodating and helpful. We had a good dinner here too.

“Good value in the old town”

Great hosts, interesting location staying in the old town. Good value.

Our host Mohammed was really nice and welcoming with tea on the rooftop terrace. We also had dinner there and it was delicious. From the rooftop you had amazing views over the gorge. Both hosts were amazing, we would definitely a stay there.

Nice old Kasbah on the other side of the river, within the old ruins, not on the concrete side with all new buildings…great view from the terrace, very attentive family, good food, you can even walk to the Gorge.

“Spectacular view from the roof terrace”

This hotel is located in an interesting location where we had to cross a stream on a wooden plank to get to the hotel which was a fun little adventure. I would say the best part of the hotel is the rooftop. Such a spectacular view of the surrounding area. Sadly as we were only there for one night and it was winter we were not able to enjoy it for long. This hotel is great value. The rooms and breakfast were pretty basic but the shower was hot and had excellent pressure. Great value for the price!

“Great stay near the gorges”

The staff was very kind and made us breakfast even if it was very early in the morning. The food was great and so was the communication with the host, which was essential to understand the position the hotel. We had hot water for 3 showers.
