“A delightful rural retreat close to Ainsa”

O Chardinet d'a Formiga is a delightful, rustic bed and breakfast close to Ainsa. The rooms are clean well equiped and spacious. Breakfast and dinner are prepared from local produce by Ferran, who together with Blanca, provided much useful information on the area. The inside and outside seating areas were very pleasant, with drinks available on an honesty basis and plenty local literature to read.

The whole facility was very clean, neat and tidy. The views in the morning are incredible. Attention to small details and the thought behind the guest’s comfort are on a high level. Having a dinner at the place is recommended as well, the owner is a great cook! We enjoyed it a lot. In general the owner is a nice person who was highly attentive to us and to other guests to ensure everyone has a great experience in his house and in the area in general. If you’re into bird watching, you’ll be pleased here as well.

After more than 100 bookings I feel compelled to write a review. The bed was big and comfy, the hosts were very friendly and helpful, but the highlight was the in-house dinners, cooked by Ferran. We were lucky enough to have two private dinners since the other guests chose to eat outside. The food was excellent without exception (we dined there three nights in total), with relaxing atmosphere thanks to the classical music. The ingredients are locally sourced and eco.

Secluded quaint property driving distance to many towns. A little town up a quiet drive and only a few houses. Perfect spot if you are looking for a peaceful few nights away.

Excellent location with a lot of options for day trips, great hosts who made us feel at home, very nice house, great food prepared by our host Ferran.

We had a fantastic stay in this tiny village with 11 inhabitants. Our hosts, Blanca and Ferran couldn't have been more welcoming. Our room in the basement was lovely and included use of a shared kitchen and lounge. Dinner was delicious and very good value home cooking. A very special place.

Beautiful location and the owners were very friendly. Very clean and comfortable with lots of space to sit around both inside and outside. There were tea and coffee making facilities and an honesty fridge for beer and wine. We had a lovely breakfast overlooking the valley with birds flying around.

Place to slow down and enjoy the moment. Spectacular views, passionate and friendly hosts, very detailed oriented interior. We had a great time.

We had a wonderful stay at O Chardinet d’a Forminga. It is located in a cute village with beautiful towns and hiking locations nearby. The owners were caring, friendly and very helpful with perfect recommendations. Breakfast was great and having dinner at least once is a must!

This is a special place. You feel like you are welcomed like an old friend. The location is beautiful and the house sympathetically restored. There is a huge emphasis on ecological solutions and everything is well thougt out. Feran is a wonderful chef and we loved eating there. Blanco was the most wonderful hostess who took such trouble to engage with us. This is a place with a huge heart. Stay there. You will not regret it.

Ferran is an absolutely fantastic host, his care and attention comes through in everything about his guest house, cannot recommend highly enough. Simply superb! Suggest taking advantage of the delicious breakfasts and dinners that can be included, fresh produce, beautifully prepared and served. His partner too is super friendly and helpful, all in all, a perfect place to enjoy a few nights away with a variety of nice walking and outdoor activities in the surrounding area.

Beautiful escape from the city with gorgeous views, welcoming hosts, beautiful gardens, original stone walls. The place is beautifully restored - an oasis. Meals made by Ferrán were excellent, special to have foods made from local produce, some home grown - breakfast and dinner. Reasonable drive to stunning national parks. The place is like a dream. Wish we stayed longer!
