Breathtaking view and everything around was charming. It was low season and we were almost alone in the whole chateau. Breakfast was tasty and staff were friendly.

Beautiful, quiet location near the lake: perfect for waking up early to go for a swim first thing in the morning. After that, we were delighted by the fantastic breakfast, which offered a wide selection including freshly baked croissants, cold meats, fruits, cheeses and local honey and jams. The château itself was lovely, with fun historic vibes and nice grounds perfect for families. It was very peaceful there at night - there was a fountain out the front that provided a very nice ambience. The staff were all very kind. For animal lovers there were horses, cats, dogs and even a goat kept on the grounds. The rooms were equipped with everything we needed (kettle, microwave and mini-fridge were a huge bonus). A big thank you to the staff at Château de Chanteraine for a wonderful stay!

The breakfast is OK, served outdoors, but once after an overnight storm on wet table coths and wet chairs. Lovely location but access by a narrow, twisting road which is difficult at night when returning from a restaurant in the dark. WiFi works well.
